  • Patent number: 6241077
Abstract: A transport system for spinning bobbins and bobbin tubes comprises a transport path with two essentially vertical sections and an essentially horizontal section connected therebetween. The spinning bobbins and bobbin tubes are transported on pallets whose foot portion comprises an element consisting of magnetizable material. A conveyor belt runs along the transport path at the back side of which belt stationarily arranged permanent magnets are arranged to exert magnetic forces to hold the pallets on the conveyor belt.

  • Patent number: 5853137
Abstract: A cheese-producing textile machine 1 having a plurality of winding stations 2 with respective separate winding station computers 39 and a unit 23 for servicing the winding stations 2. The textile machine 1 has a central control unit 37 and the service unit 23 has a separate control computer 38. These control devices 37, 38 and 39 are connected with each other by means of a machine bus 40. During the process of replacing a finished cheese with an empty tube at any winding station, a cheese brake integrated into the winding creel 18 and/or a creel lifting device 49 can be actuated by the service unit computer 38 via the machine bus 40 in a pulsed manner when needed, for example to dislodge a cheese 11 which is stuck in the winding creel.

  • Patent number: 5088591
Abstract: A tube transport assembly is provided for transporting yarn packages on a textile machine. The tube transport assembly includes a vertical transport component for transporting yarn packages between vertically spaced locations. Each yarn package, which is in the form of yarn built on a tube, is individually fixedly supported on a tube support member and each tube support member includes an engagement portion for engagement by a post of a carrier member to thereby effect support of the tube support member by the carrier member. The carrier members are mounted to a flexible endless belt at uniform spacings therealong and are moved in an upward run past a feed location at which tube support members are fed to the carrier members for engagment and support thereby. A pair of transfer plates at the feed location guide the tube support members being engaged by the carrier members to insure that the tube support members are fully seated on the carrier members.
