  • Patent number: 5599606
Abstract: A sheet-like sandwich molding having two outer rigid covering layers and, as the core, at least one sheet-like structure of fiber material, which has been deformed by deep-drawing and been provided with synthetic resin. The sheet-like structure of fiber material, constituting the core, can, for example, be a knitted fabric provided with a curable condensation resin.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 25, 1993
Date of Patent: February 4, 1997
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Dieter Disselbeck, Dieter Stahl
  • Patent number: 4631221
Abstract: A sheet-like sandwich molding having two outer firm rigid covering layers and, as the core, at least one sheet-like structure of fiber material, which has been deformed by deep-drawing and been provided with synthetic resin. The sheet-like structure of fiber material, constituting the core, can, for example, be a knitted fabric provided with a curable condensation resin.

  • Patent number: 4389447
Abstract: The dimensionally stable composite material consists of a double fabric with spacer filaments. On both sides of the double fabric there is a plastics layers. Face and back fabric of the double fabric are linked with each other by means of incorporated rigid filaments which prevent the double fabric to be squeezed. The exterior plastics layers are curable laminates. FIG. 1 shows such a composite material. The material is obtained by applying fiber mats impregnated with curable synthetic resins to both sides of the double fabric containing spacer filaments, and subsequently bonding fiber mats and double fabric by compression.

  • Patent number: 4153470
Abstract: Foamed gypsum is produced by mixing gypsum with water in the presence of additives serving for liquefying the gypsum and for adjusting the starting period, and by adding thereto a mixture of isocyanate compounds and polyurethane preadducts. After a starting period of about five minutes a foaming process occurs, which is completed after about 20 minutes and furnishes a foamed gypsum after setting. The foamed gypsum has a density from 0.45 to 0.8 g/cc, whereas unfoamed gypsum has a density of 1.66 g/cc.The process may be performed in special molds, so that after setting specially formed elements are obtained, e.g. sandwich elements.
