    Abstract: In order to create a process for using solar energy in a gas and steam power station, which incorporates a gas turbine circuit and a steam turbine circuit for converting thermal energy into mechanical work, whereby a compressed gaseous heat carrier which has been heated is fed to a gas turbine in the gas turbine circuit and waste gases from the gas turbine are used to generate steam, which is fed to a steam turbine in the steam turbine circuit, and whereby this process has a high efficiency rate for converting thermal energy into mechanical work and makes optimum use of the solar energy, it is proposed that thermal energy be supplied to the heat carrier in the gas turbine circuit by means of solar radiation.

    Abstract: In order to provide a trough-shaped collector for radiation, in particular for solar radiation, comprising a trough-shaped mirror extending in longitudinal direction and reflecting the radiation into a focus region, and an absorber line extending in longitudinal direction through the focus region of the trough-shaped mirror and having a guide tube for the heat transport medium and an absorber pipe surrounding the guide tube such that an annular chamber is formed between guide tube and absorber line, with which the problems existing as a result of the uneven irradiation of the absorber line are also reduced or eliminated, it is suggested that an annular passage medium flow in the annular chamber and that the annular passage medium couple the guide tube thermally to the absorber pipe.

    Abstract: A one way beer barrel dispensing support is provided to facilitate dispensing a beverage from the barrel by gravity flow. The support has a circular area on its upper surface for receiving the bottom end of a beverage barrel. A conduit is mounted in said circular area and has an inlet which enters the barrel when the barrel is placed on the support. The end of the conduit remote from the inlet has a valved spigot to control dispensing.
