  • Patent number: 4491297
Abstract: An adapter or coupling is joined up with a flexible pipe made up of three pipes nested in each other whose end furthest from the coupling is joined up with an air-powered grinding tool or machine for clearing dust therefrom by aspiration. Furthermore the grinder is joined up by way of the three-part pipe and the coupling with pipes for supplying pressurized air to it and for carrying away such air after undergoing expansion in the motor of the grinder. The coupling has at one end or side three connection units for joining it up with the three-part pipe and two side unions for the supply of pressurized air and for carrying away such air after expansion. The opposite side of the coupling has further unions for joining it up with a flexible aspiration pipe.

  • Patent number: 4422239
Abstract: A powered hand tool, as for example an angle grinder or a milling tool for use with a routing cutter for working on wood or synthetic resin, has a housing, a motor, and a cover for the tool bit. In the housing an airway is placed for aspiration of air from the space within the cover, the airway coming to an end at an opposite end of the housing.

  • Patent number: 4355487
Abstract: An air-powered sander is made up of a housing with a compressed air motor within it and designed for driving a sanding pad. The sander has a system for clearing dust, produced on sanding, from the pad. This system is made up of an impellor wheel freely turning on a motor shaft in the housing. On the two sides of the impellor wheel two groups of blades are present. A nozzle, joined with the airway for supplying the motor with compressed air, is used for directing at least one air jet against one group of the blades on the wheel. The other group of blades, on the other side of the wheel, is designed for producing a dust/air current for clearing sanding dust from the pad. For this purpose a dust take-up space is present extending from the pad to a position near inner ends of the second group of blades on the impellor wheel.

  • Patent number: 4351133
Abstract: An abrasive paper connection for use on an oscillating grinder. At least one tensioning mechanism is provided on a table plate for effecting the connection of the abrasive paper to the table plate. The tensioning mechanism includes a clamping slide which is movably guided on the table plate and has an edge portion which effects a clamping of the abrasive paper between the edge portion and a portion of the table plate. An eccentric manually operated handle is provided which, when moved, effects a guiding movement of the clamping slide toward and away from the end surface.

  • Patent number: 4302910
Abstract: A pneumatically operated grinding apparatus having a dust removal structure. The grinding apparatus has a housing and a movable work plate which is driven by a compressed-air motor. An inlet piping connection is provided for compressed air and is connected in fluid circuit with an inlet opening of the compressed-air motor. A suction piping connection is also provided which is connected to the inside of the housing and to which a suction device can be connected. A discharge-air piping connection is provided which is connected to an outlet of the compressed-air motor and is guided outwardly from the housing.
