  • Patent number: 9080651
Abstract: Drive apparatus (1, 101), in particular for driving a worm of an injection molding machine, which worm is arranged coaxially with respect to an injection molding cylinder, having a housing (9, 109) which is mounted such that it can be displaced in an axial direction of the housing (9, 109) and is fixed rotationally, an output shaft (21, 121) which is mounted non-displaceably and rotatably in the housing (9, 109), a rotational drive (5) which is arranged in the housing (9, 109) for the rotational drive of the output shaft (21, 121), and a translatory drive (3) which is arranged in the housing (9, 109) for the translatory drive of the housing (9, 109).

  • Patent number: 5283523
Abstract: A SQUID measurement apparatus for detecting weak magnetic field signals that change over time such as from a biomagnetic field source includes at least one measurement channel, a SQUID, and a superconductive flux transformer disposed in front of the SQUID that includes at least one detection loop for receiving the weak magnetic field signals. The apparatus also includes at least one connection conductor coupled to the detection loop and electromagnetically shielding for at least the at least one connection conductor of the flux transformer. The shielding includes at least one superconductive shielding element that extends in a direction substantially parallel to the at least one connection conductor and substantially equidistant from the at least one detection loop. The shielding element has a discontinuity at a separation point in a region of the detection loop.

  • Patent number: 4737623
Abstract: A canal structure of an electron multiplier, especially for an X-ray image intensifier, comprises several perforated metal dynodes which emit secondary electrodes and between each of which a plate-shaped separating element of electrically insulating material with an at least largely regular hole pattern is arranged. This canal structure has a relatively simple design, in which undesirable charging up at the separating elements is prevented to a large degree. The metal dynodes are realized as impingement dynodes of thin perforated foils or screens or nets or grids, where at least four holes each fall on the area occupied by a canal-like hole of the plate-shaped separating element. The plate-shaped separating elements have a comparatively greater thickness than the thickness of the perforated foils or screens and have on their upper and lower flat sides a layer of electrically highly conductive material and have at their hole walls a layer of an electric resistance material.

  • Patent number: 4212911
Abstract: A photocathode for electroradiographic and electrofluoroscopic apparatus which contains a stack arrangement of perforated foils of a material with a high atomic number, in particular, double layer perforated foils with two electrically conducting outer layers and an insulating layer arranged in between which obtains relatively high sensitivity and high resolution permitting its use in medical diagnostic apparatus is described along with method of manufacturing the photocathode.

  • Patent number: 3935033
Abstract: The radiation resistance of silicon transistors with a silicon oxide coating is improved by irradiating the semiconductor device with electrons at an energy below 150 keV and a dose between 10.sup.9 and 10.sup.12 rad at the boundary layer between the silicon and silicon oxide coating. The temperature of the semiconductor device is maintained at a temperature of between 150.degree. and 450.degree.C during irradiation thereof.
