  • Patent number: 7448188
Abstract: A machine for forming a bag of a strip of weldable material, filling the bag with a fluent filling, and sealing the filled bag forms the strip into a longitudinally extending and laterally closed tube and continuously advances the tube longitudinally downward through a welding/folding station while pouring the filling into the tube above the station. A cross-seam welder and a folder at the station are both horizontally closable on opposite sides of the tube to form therein folds and a bag-forming crosswise weld. A vertically shiftable lifter is engageable under a filled section of the tube below the station. Simultaneously the welder and folder are closed on the tube to form a crosswise weld and to fold the tube horizontally inward while the filled section is raised and the welder and folder are moved downward generally synchronously while in contact with the downwardly moving tube.

  • Patent number: 7401450
Abstract: This invention concerns an infusion bag, especially for tea, which has a top part with folded down corners and a middle part folded over it, to which a string with two free ends is attached that goes from one side of the top part through a hole in the folded down parts forming a loop on the other side of the top part and comes back, whereby the two free ends are drawn up through the loop laid over the top edge of the infusion bag and pulled to form a knot. The solution in the invention is characterized by the fact that two holes are made in the top part at a lateral distance next to one another, on the left and right of the longitudinal axis of the bag; each hole goes through a folded down corner and the middle of the top part; by the fact that the string forms a loop and one end goes through one hole and the other end through the second hole; by the fact that the loop is laid over the top edge of the infusion bag, and both ends of the string go up through the loop to form a double knot.

  • Patent number: 7264282
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for knotting the end of a thread to a flat object containing two spaced holes for the knot. The method provides the thread located in front of the holes is pulled to the other side of the object while forming loops, and in that the loop is rotated by at least 270°. Subsequently the end of the thread is pulled through this loop and the knot that is formed is tightened. The device provides three tools, specifically two bars and a gripper.

  • Publication number: 20070163214
Abstract: The invention relates to a bag forming, filling and sealing machine that is designed as a machine having a continuously moving tube. The machine comprises a device for lowering the cross seam welding device (5), folding device (6) and lifting device (9) synchronous with the downward movement of the tube. The inward movement of the welding jaws of the cross seam welding device (5) and of the folding elements of the folding device (6) is controlled up to the final point of each in such a manner that almost no relative motion occurs between the welding jaws and the wrapping material (1) at the upper point where the welding jaws come into contact with the covering material (1), whereupon the cross seam welding device (5) is lowered synchronously with the downward movement of the tubular bag.

  • Patent number: 5832701
Abstract: A vertical bag forming, filling and sealing machine having a feed system for a wrapping material forming the flexible tube bags, a filling tube, a longitudinal seam welding device and a cross seam welding device is described. The cross seam welding device comprises a unit forming the lower cross weld seam and a unit forming the upper cross weld seam of a flexible tube bag. The unit for generating the upper cross weld seam or a folding device and a lifting device for the filled flexible tube bag are movable up and down and are lifted for the generation of the upper cross weld seam or for the folding of the flexible tube bag in order to relax the wrapping material. By this the air space over the surface of the filling material is kept as small as possible.

  • Patent number: 5366065
Abstract: An apparatus removes textile articles such as empty tubes or full yarn packages from the individual posts on which such articles are supported simultaneous with advancing movement of the posts. The textile articles are removed in a direction generally parallel to the axis of the posts so that during removal detrimental binding of the textile article relative to the post does not occur. According to one aspect of the invention, at least one pair of endless belts are mounted in spaced, parallel relation to one another to form an elongate opening therebetween. The elongate opening is aligned with the travel path of the textile articles being advanced on the posts so that the textile articles automatically enter the elongate opening and are engaged by the endless belts without the need to stop or otherwise control the advancing movement of the textile articles.

  • Patent number: 5263302
Abstract: A device for the packing of rigid or flexible receptacles, especially filled plastic bags, which are triangularly or teardrop-shaped in section, comprises a conveying belt for conveying the receptacles one behind the other, a discharge unit for discharging the receptacles one behind the other into a reception case located thereunder, the reception case being rotatable about 180.degree. and being located below the discharge unit. After a first receptacle is discharged into the reception case, it is rotated by 180.degree. and a layer consisting of oppositely directed receptacles in which the pointed end portions overlap is formed. Thereafter, the so-formed layers are deposited in a final packing case located below the reception case. An optimum utilization of space in the final packing case is attained by the receptacles due to the overlapping of their pointed end portions.

  • Patent number: 5107670
Abstract: A ring-spinning apparatus has a service carriage which can be positioned opposite a stationary waste-collection receptacle so that the mobile waste-collection receptacle of the carriage can be aligned therewith and shifted toward the stationary waste-collection receptable thereby coupling the doors of the receptacle. An actuator can simultaneously open the coupled doors to permit a pressure drop to draw lint and roving scraps collected in the receptacle of the carriage into the receptacle of the machine.

  • Patent number: 4805352
Abstract: An apparatus for automatic exchange of at least one full bobbin with at least one empty bobbin in a flyer, i.e. a flyer doffer, comprises a transport device reaching the flyer acting to transport the full bobbins and the empty bobbins, a doffing region and a mounting region which reach the spindles of the flyer for groupwise exchange of the full bobbins with the empty bobbins on the spindles and a lifting region reaching the transport device for groupwise exchange of the full with empty roving bobbins on the transport device. The doffing region and the mounting region on one hand and the lifting region on the other hand are spatially separate from each other. An exchanging region extending to the doffing, mounting and lifting regions is provided. Advantageously the doffing region and the mounting region are combined in a single doffing and mounting region.

  • Patent number: 4757668
Abstract: To provide for continuous feed of a packaging film, the film into a tube, filling the tube into packages and severing the packages, markers are located longitudinally along the film for example of plastic; the film is fed and formed into a tube by a pulling mechanism, the drive of which is synchronized with the bag-forming operation as such, that is, sealing and severing tube portions, under control of the markers so that slippage between drive rollers or units and the film being fed or inaccuracies in operation of the filling mechanism are immediately compensated by change in speed of the drive unit or operation of the filling and bag-forming mechanism to maintain relative alignment of bag closing with respective areas on the film, preventing accumulation of positioning errors and hence possible misalignment of printed information on the film with respect to the closing seams of the bag.
