  • Patent number: 5725260
Abstract: A locking arrangement comprises a movable control member at the wing and a stationary counter-member at the frame. The control member is arranged at a connecting rod and is displaceable longitudinally along with the latter by means of a handle. In this way, the locking arrangement is displaced between a closing position and a releasing position. In order to achieve a trouble-free arrangement with a reliable closing position, at least one lever with a hook opening is provided in the counter-member which cooperates with the control member as a hook lever. This hook lever is swivelable transversely to the displacement direction of the control member. In the closing position, the hook lever is swiveled toward the control member until a hook opening receives the control member and its outer hook leg engages in front of the control member. In the releasing position, the hook lever is swiveled away from the control member and its outer hook leg is situated outside of the displacement direction of the control member.

  • Patent number: 5636476
Abstract: In a device for opening and closing a window, a casement moves between a closed and an open position with respect to a stationary frame. This is done by a longitudinally displaceable toothed rack, which effects the movement of the casement of a carrier. In order to obtain a space saving, easy to operate device. Not only is the casement moved by the toothed rack, but the casement is also moved by a moveable closing element in the frame between its latching position and unlatching position with a stationary carrier located on the frame. Both carriers are connected respectively to the toothed rack by means of an independent coupling, which is rendered effective and ineffective at an associated change-over location. These two change-over locations are arranged in a specific place in the path of longitudinal displacement of the toothed rack, respond to the associated coupling and are automatically effective.

  • Patent number: 5487238
Abstract: In a device for opening and closing a window, a casement is moved between a closed and open position with respect to a stationary frame. This is done by a longitudinally displaceable toothed rack, which transfers the longitudinal movement into a movement of the casement by a hinge rod. In order to obtain a device which is easy to operate, it is proposed that in addition to the first toothed rack co-operating with the casement, a second toothed rack is provided in the frame which changes closing elements located on the frame between a latched position holding the casement and an unlatched position releasing the casement, by a closing rod. Although both toothed racks are longitudinally displaced by the same actuating element, as a rule only one of the two toothed racks is coupled to the actuating means while the other is uncoupled and stationary.
