  • Patent number: 7341433
Abstract: A cutting insert includes a plurality of consecutively disposed, interlinked individual cutting inserts that can be brought into use successively through a respectively interposed predetermined breaking point by detaching a respectively preceding individual cutting insert in cutting use. The cutting insert has a blade-shaped construction with lower and upper bearing surfaces for being held in an elongated cutout with lower and upper opposing surfaces in a basic tool body of a grooving and cut-off tool or disk milling cutter. Each individual cutting insert is provided with a positioning device that cooperates with a complementary positioning device of the basic tool body. A grooving and cut-off tool or disk milling cutter and a wrench for the cutting insert, are also provided.

Inventors: Dietmar Berger, Christian Göberl, Uwe Schleinkofer, Remus Venturini
  • Patent number: 7287749
Abstract: A transport system is configured for a machine that processes printing material. The transport system has a guide device with one or more diverters and one or more runners that travel along the guide device. An electric linear drive of the transport system has a primary part formed with winding cores and a secondary part formed by the runner. In the region of the diverter, at least one of the cores has a lower height than the cores outside the region of the diverter. This forms a cutout or depression for at least one guide segment of the guide device.

  • Patent number: 7270503
Abstract: The invention relates to a cutting tool for rotating and drilling into solid blocks, comprising a drill shank (1) and a cutting head (2) on one end. The cutting head (2) has a straight, front-face cutting edge (4) extending approximately crosswise in relation to the drill axis (3). The cutting head (2) also comprises a section (8) protruding from the shank of the drill (1) at a height (h) ranging from at least 5% to a maximum of 40% of the diameter (d) of the drill and at a width (b) ranging from at least 5% to a maximum of 40% of the diameter (d) of the drill. The section (8) comprises a straight, lateral cutting edge (5) which merges into a straight, rear-sided cutting edge (7) extending in an approximately parallel manner in relation to the front-faced cutting edge (4).
