  • Patent number: 4788870
Abstract: Above the level of a toothed disc (26), a sensor is fastened to a base member (23) by means of a lateral retaining arm (24). The retaining arm contains a guide bore (13) which extends vertically to the fastening surface (12) of the base member (23) and which receives in a sliding fit a substantially circular-cylindrical carrier member (11) which is formed with a central bore (33) for receiving a fastening bolt (15) screwed into a threaded bore (22) of the base member (23). The carrier member (11) extends into the inside of the guide bore (13) and terminates in an upper annular end surface (10). A circlip (14) whose external diameter corresponds to the diameter of the guide bore (13) seats on the end surface. In the area of the circlip, the bolt (15) has a cone-like enlargement (16) which, when the fastening bolt (15) is tightened, will be seated on the circlip (14) and press it axially against the carrier member (11) and radially against the wall defining the guide bore (13).

  • Patent number: 4776256
Abstract: A hydraulic force booster for actuating master cylinder pistons in brake systems of automotive vehicles, comprises a lever system including two levers (33,34) pivotably interconnected by way of a journal (35). The second lever, by way of a coupling (45) is in communication with a set element (46) provided at the control piston (13) of a brake valve (9). The coupling (45) comprises a coupling element (53) provided at the second lever (34), and at least one guide surface provided at the set element (46) is connected to the control piston (13) by way of joint (47) and, at the other end, by providing another joint (48), is guided in a substantially co-axial housing bore (49). The coupling element (53) can be formed by a loose roller thereby substantially precluding that transverse forces be exerted on the control piston (13) of the brake valve (9) likely to result in lockings.

  • Patent number: 4751400
Abstract: An electrohydraulic switching device for emitting electric control signals in dependence on supplied pressure signals. The switching device has a housing wherein a piston pressurizable by the inlet pressure is arranged so as to be axially displaceable. The piston is spring-loaded against the inlet pressure by means of a compression spring arranged between a spring plate and a guide means. The spring plate is secured at the piston by means of a snap ring, and the switching device has an actuating plate for actuating an electric switching mechanism. The actuating plate is positively connected with the piston, with the compression spring at its end facing the switching mechanism being axially guided by the guide sleeve.

  • Patent number: 4746172
Abstract: A switch valve arrangement (10) for changing over the inlet of a fluid pressure slave unit (16-19) from the outlet of a first fluid generator (5 or 6) to the outlet of a second fluid pressure generator (1, 13), during switch-on of the second fluid pressure generator for brake systems of automotive vehicles. The arrangement comprises a first valve (V.sub.1) which, upon switch-on of the second fluid pressure generator (1, 13) blocks the connection between the first pressure geneator (5) and the fluid pressure slave unit (16-19), and comprises a second valve (V.sub.2) releasing the connection between the second fluid pressure generator (1, 13) and the fluid pressure slave unit (16-19). Upon switch-on of the second fluid pressure generator (1, 13), provision is made so that the second valve (V.sub.2), with a fluid-releived first valve (V.sub.1) and a fluid pressure-loaded second valve (V.sub.

  • Patent number: 4622882
Abstract: A valve device for a vacuum brake booster in which the poppet valve arranged in the bore of the control housing is held by means of a supporting ring provided with a radially inwardly extending flange. The flange holds a tubular part serving to hold and support of the valve spring which, on one end rests on the rear annular surface of the valve flange of the poppet valve and which, on the other side is supported on a collar of the piston rod. The valve spring has a cylindrical spring section and a conically shaped spring section, the length of the cylindrical section approximately corresponding to the length of the tubular part of the supporting ring.
