  • Patent number: 6945283
Abstract: A measuring apparatus for the measurement of the cloth tension in weaving machines comprises a probe element and a guide part to which the probe element is connected in order to guide the probe element. The measuring apparatus furthermore comprises a holder to which the guide part is secured and a sensor element which is in contact with the probe element in such a manner that a force which acts on the probe element causes a corresponding change in the sensor element. In this the guide part is attached at one side to the holder, the probe element is spaced from the attachment of the guide part, and the measuring apparatus is executed as a module.

  • Publication number: 20040212803
Abstract: With the measuring device movements are determined on a weaving machine (1). With this measuring device (2) digital signals can be produced at discrete points in time occurring in a periodic sequence by means of a positional determination of one or more identifiable points (31) which are located on a moved surface (30) and within a two dimensional measuring window (3) of the measuring device. These signals can be evaluated for determining an interval which can be associated with changes in position of the identifiable positions. Optical and electronic components (21, 22, 23, 20) for effecting pattern recognition are integrated in the measuring device. The identifiable positions can be defined by the pattern recognition. The positions of at least some of these positions can be determined at two sequential points in time of the said sequence. The interval associated with the changes in position can be calculated at each of the discrete points in time.

  • Patent number: 6189576
Abstract: An apparatus moves a warp thread in a controlled manner by a punctuate compulsory guidance between three positions, namely a middle, an upper and a lower position. It comprises a pendulum which is pivotal about an axis and into which an electrical coil is integrated and stationary permanent magnets. The named positions are given by equilibrium positions of the pendulum, with forces which act on the pendulum in these positions being in each case in an equilibrium. The equilibrium positions for the upper or the lower position respectively can be produced by forces between the permanent magnets and the currently carrying coil; the equilibrium position for the middle position is given by the pendulum with a current-less coil.

  • Patent number: 6188149
Abstract: A linear motor for controlling motions of thread being woven on a weaving machine is disclosed. The linear motor contains a stator (1) which produces a magnetic field, an armature (2) which is arranged in the magnetic field, and two flexible mounting parts (3) which are arranged parallel to one another in such a manner that the armature which is connected to the mounting parts is movable relative to the stator. The linear motor drives a member that can contact the thread and thereby influence its motion.

  • Patent number: 5827975
Abstract: In the method a force F.sub.M is measured which has substantially the same magnitude over the pivotal range depending on the path of the warp and on the geometrical arrangement of the deflection member, of the tensioning member and of the pivot axis. The tension of the warp can thereby be substantially correctly determined independently of the position of the tensioning member by measurement of the force F.sub.M, and the measured value can be directly incorporated into the regulation of the warp let-off.

  • Patent number: 5575313
Abstract: In a multi-phase weaving machine, an apparatus (16) for monitoring warp yarn movement (3a, 3b) in particular leno warp yarns. The drawing-off movement or the drawing-off speed of the warp yarns (3a, 3b) can be detected by an electronic sensor (6a, 6b; 6c) so that it can in particular be determined whether the drawing-off movement or the drawing-off speed has a very low or relatively large value. If the value is very low, in particular when the warp yarn is standing still while the weaving process is running, it can be concluded that the warp yarn has broken. If the value of the drawing-off speed lies above a preset threshold value it can be concluded that the warp yarn is being driven in an undesired manner so that an error signal (13) is produced in order to interrupt the weaving process.
