  • Publication number: 20170370720
Abstract: A method for detecting a measurement region in a substrate, using an arrangement that includes a detector device having a detection field, a localization device, and a control device, is provided. The method includes selecting a measurement region to be detected, which has a start position and coordinates. The dimension of the measurement region to be detected is greater than the detection field of the detector device. The method also includes determining using the localization device an actual position of the detector device, and further determining by the control device an actual detection field from the actual position of the detector device. Moreover, the method includes comparing by the control device the start position of the measurement region to be detected with the actual detection field.

  • Patent number: 9103939
Abstract: A method for detecting an electrically and/or magnetically conductive object in a vicinity of a sensor head of a device, having the following steps: emitting a transmitting signal into the surroundings, receiving a received signal as a function of the transmitting signal and the characteristics of the object and the surroundings, analyzing a response signal formed from the received signal. According to the invention, the detection is controlled by providing a class system having a number of classes, which differ from one another in at least one object and/or surroundings characteristic, and classifying instantaneous object and/or surroundings characteristics as a function of the analyzed response signal in a class of the class system, and predefining detection characteristics which are preset in the classified class, a further response signal being detected using the predefined detection characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20070258355
Abstract: A method for detecting a-condition, where the signal level of an information signal, particularly of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) digital information signal, exceeds at least one upper predetermined signal level and/or underruns at least one lower predetermined signal level for at least a predetermined time interval by feeding the information signal to at least one first mixer unit for producing a first signal and comparing said first signal to a at least a first level threshold value. Counting the number of incidences per time unit where said first signal is above or below said first level threshold value and comparing said number of incidences per time unit to a first frequency threshold value allows determination, if the condition is met or not.

  • Publication number: 20070041440
Abstract: The invention relates to a repeater and a method for re-transmitting single frequency signals, in particular of the type used in single frequency signal repeaters for use in single frequency networks (SFNs) like digital video/audio broadcasting (DVB/DAB) networks. The estimation of echo feedback is derived from the measured power density spectrum with an inclusion of a variable phase shifter (57) in the signal path. Preferably, the phase shifter (57) is controlled by control means (56), which also set the adaptive filter (54) for feedback compensation, such that a signal coupled from the transmitter antenna back to the receiver antenna can substantially be cancelled out. The method according to the invention exhibits quick and stable regulation behavior and the re-transmitted signal does not suffer from degradation due to added interference. The quality of the signal at the transmitter antenna is improved even if dynamically changing feedback paths from the transmitter to the receiver antenna exist.
