  • Patent number: 7661652
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuatable valve for brake systems in motor vehicles, comprises a hydraulic part and an electric part. The valve is partially placed inside a valve block, in which an inlet borehole and an outlet borehole for a hydraulic fluid are made. The hydraulic part comprises a valve element inside of which a transversal borehole is made that communicates with the inlet borehole. In addition, a number of longitudinal boreholes, which are connected to the outlet borehole, are made in the valve element. The transversal borehole and the longitudinal boreholes are connected via a closing element. The valve enables a controlled opening and closing of the closing element thereby making a low-noise switching of the valve possible.

  • Patent number: 6604725
Abstract: A device for securing a hydraulic modulator to a vehicle includes a base for receiving a portion of the hydraulic modulator and a clamp movably connected to the base and movable between a first position, wherein the portion of the hydraulic modulator can be positioned on the base, and a second position, wherein the clamp is closed over the base to secure the portion of the hydraulic modulator to the base. The clamp includes a projection that extends over the base when the clamp is in the first position so that when the projection is engaged by the portion of the hydraulic modulator, the projection will automatically move the clamp from the first position toward the second position. In one aspect of the invention, the clamp is hinged to the base.

  • Patent number: 6113066
Abstract: The valve has a seat valve with a hollow cone-shaped valve seat (28) and a closing member in the form of a segment of a ball. The valve seat is centrally fed by an influx bore that communicates with a pressure fluid inlet. A tappet that has the closing member is engaged by a magnet armature that acts on the seat valve in the closing direction and by a restoring spring that acts on it in the opening direction. The valve, which is embodied as an on-off valve, can be controlled in stable intermediary positions because of the following measures: the sealing diameter of the valve seat has at least 1.3 times the diameter of the influx bore; the cone angle of the valve seat is at most 110.degree.

The valve, which is embodied as an on-off valve, can be controlled into stable intermediary positions because of the following measures: The diameter of the influx bore virtually corresponds to the seal diameter of the valve seat; the cone angle of the valve seat is at most 90.degree.

  • Patent number: 6069784
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for driving a solenoid valve, which includes a coil and a movable armature. To move the armature, current and/or voltage is applied to the coil in a clocked manner. By varying the driving, the solenoid valve can be operated optionally as a control valve or as a relief valve.

  • Patent number: 5718489
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuated valve of a hydraulic unit is received in pressure-tight fashion and mounted without complicated adjustment of the valve stroke. The valve comprises a hydraulic part and an electrical part. The hydraulic part is a pre-mounted unit with a stroke of a seat valve set before insertion into a receiving bore of a metal valve block. The hydraulic part is received in pressure-tight fashion in the valve block by a first swaged connection located between an inlet conduit and an outlet conduit of the receiving bore. A sealing ring that closes off the receiving bore is retained by a radially extending flange of a bushing slipped onto the hydraulic part. The flange is secured to the valve block by a second swaged connection. The hydraulic unit is usable for traction-controlled motor vehicle brake systems.
