  • Patent number: 11815261
Abstract: A device for cleaning workpieces with a steam jet is proposed, with a special steam generator in which the steam is generated in a hollow cylindrical core, whose outer side is heated and onto whose inner side the water to be vaporized is sprayed by means of a nozzle. The steam generator has a supplementary heating device with a heatable body having a cavity through which steam generated upstream can flow for post-heating it, in order to generate dry steam for dry steam cleaning. An automated cleaning system with this steam generator is also proposed. The device can be adapted flexibly to the requirements of automated synchronized production and requires, in particular, less energy and floor space. The invention can be used, among other things, in industrial cleaning in manufacturing systems engineering, in particular in the production of automotive parts.

  • Publication number: 20190210073
Abstract: In conventional methods for cleaning the surface of workpieces in automatic production by means of vapor or hot water, the temperature of workpieces can undergo such a change that the dimensions exceed tolerances as a result of the thermal expansion, and subsequent mounting or processing is only possible after a thermal treatment step. Cleaning is performed by scanning a jet of vapor or hot water over the surface of the workpiece and carrying out this process at reduced pressure, so that the residues of condensed vapor or water that are present on the surface evaporate at least partially, and thereby extract from the workpiece heat that has been supplied by the vapor or the hot water. Preferably, the cleaned surface is at the same time dried.

  • Publication number: 20190054511
Abstract: An industrial installation and process are provided for cleaning workpieces, in particular engine components or transmission components. The installation has a housing enclosing a workspace and an industrial robot mounted inside the housing, in particular on a platform. An air recirculation device having a vapour condenser and ductwork with one or more intakes for admitting vapour-charged air from the workspace and one or more exits for returning dehumidified air to the workspace. The vapour condenser preferably includes a heat recovery unit. The vapour condenser is arranged at a level below the top of the housing, preferably below the platform and/or each of the one or more intakes is arranged at a level below the upper half of the workspace, preferably on or below the platform.

  • Publication number: 20190030574
Abstract: An industrial installation and process for cleaning workpieces, in particular for cleaning components of engines and transmission components using a cleaning liquid, includes a first filter which is a backwash filter (17) for receiving contaminated cleaning liquid. A second filter (18) is arranged for receiving backwashed contaminated cleaning liquid from the backwash filter (17), and for removing solid matter, e.g. chips, from the contaminated cleaning liquid. An oil separator (21) is arranged for receiving contaminated cleaning liquid and for removing oil from the contaminated cleaning liquid. The oil separator (21) is fluidly connected to the second filter (18) and arranged for receiving the contaminated cleaning liquid directly from the second filter (18). The arrangement of the oil separator (21) directly following the second filter improves the filtering efficiency of the system by reducing the flow path distances of the contaminated cleaning liquid.

  • Patent number: 5698097
Abstract: An oil filter for internal combustion engines is disclosed herein. The filter includes a housing with a bottom arranged below an open top and a screw-on cover threadedly engaged within the open top. The housing includes an inlet duct, a first oil discharge duct in the bottom of the housing, and a second oil discharge duct in the bottom of the housing and coaxially surrounding the first oil discharge duct. A support part is provided within the housing having a first end which is connected to the cover in an axially force-transmitting manner and a second free end inserted into the first oil discharge duct when the cover fully threadedly engaged to the open end of said housing to sealingly close the first discharge duct, and is withdrawn from the discharge duct when the cover is removed from the open end of the housing to enable discharging of oil from the housing via the first oil discharge duct.

  • Patent number: 5589060
Abstract: A filter for liquids is disclosed herein. The filter includes a filter housing containing an exchangeable filter element. A support part is provided within the housing that is separable from the at least one filter element and extends at least partly centrally through the interior space of the filter element. A means is provided for releasably attaching one end of said support part to the filter housing. The housing includes first and second radial inner seals for separating a crude space surrounding an exterior of the filter element from a clean space located within interior of the filter element with the radial inner seals being mounted within the housing at the axial ends of the filter element. The filter element is folded star-shaped and sealed on the face side and provided on the inside at each of its two axial ends with a sleeve having an interior portion resting against the radial inner seals.

  • Patent number: 5516425
Abstract: An oil filter has a cap screwed to the approximately upright arranged filter housing of the oil filter for the cleaning of lubricating oil, with a ring-shaped filter insert being detachably fastened on the cap and separating the outer inflow space from the inner flow-off space. In the lower zone of the filter housing, provision is made for a valve-like acting member, which is automatically opened with each change of the filter insert and serves for discharging oil that remained in the filter housing into an oil-collecting space via a discharge duct. A center bar is rotatably connected with the cap. The center bar is axially displaceable in a limited way and has in its zone close to the cap a piston-like flange, which is sealed against the filter insert and separates the inflow space from the flow-off space. The center bar has, in its lower end zone, the valve-like acting member cooperating with the discharge duct.
