  • Patent number: 7657287
Abstract: A mobile station is provided comprising a transmission and reception unit and an identification module that can be inserted into the mobile station. The mobile station provides a user, in the standby mode, with services and/or data records that can be retrieved by the user. To prevent unauthorized access to the services and/or data records, each service and/or data record is assigned a characteristic access identifier that is activated or deactivated by inputting and/or transmitting an associated security code. For the purpose of inputting and/or transmitting the security code, the mobile station comprises a security component. Depending on the state of the access identifier, whether activated or deactivated, access to a service and/or data record in the standby mode on the mobile station is disabled or enabled, respectively.

  • Patent number: 7606270
Abstract: A radio station, in particular a mobile radio station, respectively has a unit for production of system information (2, 3), a memory unit (4, 5) and a control signal unit (6, 7) for production of control signals for the reception path and for the transmission path, for a reception path and for the transmission path. The two units (2, 3) for production of the system information are connected to a reference unit (1) by means of which reference system information is produced. The control signals for the reception path can be synchronized to the reference system information independently of the control signals for the transmission path, by programming a time discrepancy between the respective system information and the reference system information.

  • Patent number: 7515932
Abstract: In a method for controlling radio systems designed for transmission/reception of signals based on at least two radio standards with different time patterns, with signals based on one of these radio standards being processed in each radio system, at least one synchronization signal is produced in the first and/or second radio system for synchronization, respectively, is transmitted to the respective other radio system and system information associated with that particular radio system is in each case stored in that radio system to which the synchronization signal is transmitted. The stored system information can be read by the respective other radio system via an interface, and times for transmission of signals can be calculated by means of the information which has been read. The transmission of signals or the production of events in a radio system can be enabled or inhibited by means of a signal from the other radio systems.

  • Patent number: 7433394
Abstract: A transmitting/receiving arrangement comprises a baseband module (1) and a radio-frequency module (3), which are connected to one another via a bidirectional data line (21) and a bit clock line (22) of a digital interface (2). In order to eliminate the influence of delay loops during the transmission of data in the opposite direction to the bit clock either the data bits are transmitted repeatedly or a bit clock frequency is set which is lower than the bit clock frequency for rectified transmission of bit clock signal and data signal.

  • Patent number: 7418055
Abstract: In mobile radio receivers, the transmission power must be raised before the start of the transmission process, and must be reduced again after the end of the transmission process. Until now, the transmission power has been controlled exclusively by varying the gain of the power amplifier. The inventive concept is based on using a scaling unit to additionally scale the amplitudes of the baseband signals in order to assist the switching-on and switching-off processes.

  • Patent number: 7386059
Abstract: A device for processing signals may be designed as a transmitting and receiving arrangement or exclusively as a receiving arrangement, and has a baseband component and a radiofrequency component. The interface between the baseband component and the radiofrequency component for the reception path is realized by an exclusively digital interface in the same way as the interface for the transmission path. The transmission of useful data—received useful data, useful data to be transmitted—is preferably effected via the digital interface completely separately from the transmission of the configuration data.

  • Patent number: 7308038
Abstract: A transmission configuration with a baseband module and a radio-frequency module is particularly suitable for transmission for mobile radio purposes. An interface which is designed on an exclusively digital basis is provided between the baseband module and the radio-frequency module and preferably ensures completely separate transmission of payload data and configuration data. The described principle allows the baseband module to be designed on a completely digital basis, and allows a high degree of flexibility by combination of a single baseband module with two or more different radio-frequency modules.

  • Patent number: 7263338
Abstract: A comparator unit is used to compare an actual transmission time signal with a nominal transmission time signal and to produce a difference signal from the discrepancy, from which difference signal a correction signal is produced in a control unit. This correction signal is used to control a correction unit, which compresses or extends an applied input data signal, thus changing the phase angle of the output data signal so as to minimize the discrepancy between the transmission times. The discrepancy is corrected independently of the system clock, and the correction speed is set variably.

  • Publication number: 20070110106
Abstract: The present invention provides an arrangement and a method for synchronizing a signal processing apparatus with a received signal which has a characteristic signal content. The arrangement has a first control loop (1, 20, 3, 4), which readjusts the signal processing apparatus with respect to the characteristic signal content on a content basis, and a second control loop (1, 21, 3, 4), which readjusts a flow control device (4) in the signal processing apparatus with respect to the times at which the characteristic signal content appears, the first control loop (1, 20, 3, 4) and the second control loop (1, 21, 3, 4) being coupled such that a unique association is achieved between the position of the characteristic signal content in the received signal and the associated appearance time.

  • Patent number: 7190965
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for stabilization of the transmission power of a radio during the active transmission phases thereof. Such stabilization is accomplished by measuring the power drop during the active transmission phase. The gain factor of the power amplifier associated with the apparatus is then raised during subsequent time slots, such that the measured power drop is compensated for precisely.
