  • Publication number: 20100082069
Abstract: The subject matter of the invention is a load carrier for a bone fixation system, with a locally varying material strength with unchanging material elasticity, and a method for producing such a load carrier. The load carrier, matched in view of the load flow acting on the fixation system, can also be used in critical anatomical regions, e.g. for hand implants.

  • Publication number: 20100036332
Abstract: The subject matter of the invention is an aspiration drainage system for aspirating secretions and other fluids out of the human or animal body using a suction tube and at least one material depot, arranged at the end of the suction tube to be inserted into the body, for dispensing an antibacterial active ingredient material. The surface of the material depot is larger than the envelope of the material depot. The increased surface of the material depot effects a higher level of the antibacterial active ingredient material and permits effective destruction in situ of both sensitive pathological germs and partially resistant germs.

  • Patent number: 6322562
Abstract: A fixation system for bones including a connection carrier with at least one passage hole and at least one bone screw inserted into the at least one passage hole. The connection carrier including a seat surface and the bone screw including a seat surface, permitting a mutual alignment at various angles for fixing the bone screw at a certain angle to the connection carrier. The bone screw further including a preformed thread below the bone screw seat surface, the preformed thread deforming a portion of the passage hole below the seat surface of the connection carrier when the bone screw is screwed in so that a thread connection is formed between the bone screw thread and the connection carrier, the deformation being formed by rotating the bone screw at a certain angle to the connection carrier.

  • Patent number: 4794918
Abstract: A bone plate arrangement consists of a bone plate (1), at least one bone screw (3) and a cover plate (5, 22, 30, 34, 38) which covers the head (4, 21, 26) of the bone screw and is to be screwed to the bone plate. Devices for fixing the direction of the bone screw (3) relative to the bone plate (1) are provided. These devices consist, on the one hand, of a seat which, though indifferent with respect to direction, laterally fixes the screw head on the bone plate and, on the other hand, of a positive of frictional connection betwen the screw head and the cover plate, produced by mutual engagement of the raises and recesses. The cover plate is laterally fixed relative to the bone plate.
