  • Publication number: 20080171509
Abstract: A device for ventilating vehicles, with at least one nozzle (3), the discharging direction of which can be adjusted, and with an actuating device (20), which is at least partially arranged outside the nozzle (3), in order to adjust the discharging direction of the nozzle. In this case, the actuating device (20) has a first actuating element which is rotatable about a first geometrical axis and a second actuating element which is rotatable with respect to a second geometrical axis (Y), for adjusting the discharging direction. Furthermore, an operating device (26) is provided for operating the two actuating elements (23, 24), the operating device being connected to the actuating elements (23, 24) in such a manner that operation of the operating device in a first operating direction moves the first actuating element and operation of the operating device in a second operating direction moves the second actuating element.

  • Patent number: 7370691
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat exchanger of a plate-type construction having first flow channels for a first medium, each formed by a pair of plates, and having corrugated ribs, around which a second medium flows, arranged between neighboring plate pairs. In order to provide an improved heat exchanger which allows a more compact construction of the plant when used in a heating or air conditioning unit of a motor vehicle, it is proposed that the corrugated ribs and at least one of the neighboring plate pairs form second flow channels for the second medium and the second flow channels have a curved course, so that the second medium undergoes a change of flow direction on flowing through the heat exchanger.

  • Publication number: 20070202793
Abstract: The invention relates to an air discharging device (1), especially for a heating or air conditioning system of a motor vehicle. The inventive air discharging device (1) comprises a discharge nozzle (2), air flow-directing elements (4), e.g. lamellae and/or flaps, and at least one electrically triggerable actuator (6), e.g. a servo motor, a DC motor with a gear mechanism, or a stepping motor. Each actuator (6) is effectively connected to one or several air flow-directing elements (4) in such a way that the position of said air flow-directing elements (4) changes when the actuator (6) is actuated, resulting in the air flow being deflected in a selectable direction or an air flow being prevented from being discharged. The inventive air discharging device (1) allows the direction of discharge of the air flow to be adjusted or, if necessary, the air discharging device (1) to be blocked in a remote controlled manner without manual intervention.
