  • Patent number: 11525375
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide a method for operating a combined cycle power plant (CCPP). The method may include creating a variant control profile for the CCPP for a power plant model of the CCPP. The method may include modifying the variant control profile in response to the variant control profile not reducing the fuel consumption or meeting the quality threshold. The method may also include adjusting the CCPP to use the variant control profile in response to the variant control profile reducing the fuel consumption and meeting the quality threshold. Using the variant control profile adjusts a turbine section inlet temperature schedule or an exhaust temperature schedule for the CCPP.

  • Patent number: 11188156
Abstract: An artificial reality system can display notifications in various configurations including in a minimized version or a maximized version. The artificial reality system can initially display a minimized version of the notification. Upon identifying a first trigger event, such as the user's gaze resting on the minimized version of the notification or a rotation of a user's wrist, the artificial reality system can change the display of the notification from the minimized version to the maximized version. The artificial reality system can identify a second trigger event, such as the user's gaze not being directed to the maximized version of the notification or a rotation of the wrist in an opposite direction from the first wrist rotation. In response to the second trigger event, the artificial reality system can stop display of the maximized version of the notification.

  • Publication number: 20210317782
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide a method for operating a combined cycle power plant (CCPP). The method may include generating a power plant model for operating the CCPP, determining whether at least two gas turbines in the power plant model generate a power output, and modeling a fuel consumption of the CCPP for a baseline split ratio between the at least two gas turbines. The method may also include determining whether the variant split ratio meets a quality threshold for the CCPP, and adjusting the CCPP to use the variant split ratio in response to the variant split ratio meeting the quality threshold.

  • Publication number: 20200169586
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes connecting to a virtual session for co-experiencing digital media content with one or more other users in a virtual reality environment, where the virtual reality environment comprises a screen for displaying the digital media content, receiving relative-position information indicating relative positions between the first user and the one or more other users in the virtual reality environment, rendering the screen based on a first position of the first user in the virtual reality environment, wherein the screen and the first position of the first user have a predefined spatial relationship in the virtual reality environment, and rendering, based on the received relative-position information and the first position of the first user, a second avatar representing a second user in the virtual reality environment, wherein the second user is one of the one or more other users.

  • Publication number: 20130110424
Abstract: A power meter includes a power detection unit to sense a level of consumed power in at least a portion of a building and to output sensed power level data, a timing unit to designate a predetermined period of time, and an analysis unit. The analysis unit receives the sensed power level data, determines whether the level of consumed power is abnormal by generating a representative value representative of the level of consumed power over the predetermined period of time, compares the representative value to a threshold value, and outputs an alert to a remote device when it is determined that the consumed power is abnormal based at least on the comparison of the representative value to the threshold value.
