Abstract: A device and method for monitoring and tracking the body movement of a user performing regular exercises such as squat is disclosed. The device for monitoring and tracking the body movement comprises a thigh strap, a housing and a printed circuit board. The printed circuit boards attached with the thigh straps comprises an actuating device, an accelerometer, a communication link, a power source, a processor, an USB connector, and an alerting device. The device senses accurate squat position and indicate with an audible beep, LED display, or it can be switched to a vibration mode. The device is configured to hold the legs and indicate the accurate squat position. The device could also connected to various other devices via Bluetooth linking technology.
