Patent number: 12145416Abstract: An air supply control arrangement for a heavy-duty vehicle comprising a lift axle includes a brake chamber. An electronically controlled brake valve device allows pressurized air to be passed to the brake chamber of the lift axle. A pressurized air source supplies pressurized air to the electronically controlled brake valve device along a supply passage. A pilot control valve provided between the pressurized air source and the electronically controlled brake valve device can restrict air flow through the supply passage. A pressure-responsive element actuates the pilot control valve when the pressure in the lift bellow is increased so that the lift axle is raised to a lift condition. The pressure-responsive element closes the pilot control valve. When the pressure in the lift bellow is reduced so that the lift axle is lowered to a ride condition then the pressure-responsive element is deactivated to allow opening of the pilot control valve.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2024Date of Patent: November 19, 2024Assignee: VOLVO TRUCK CORPORATIONInventors: Amarnath Jeyakar M R, Sunil Angadi, Dilip Kumar

Patent number: 12131575Abstract: A biometric identification system acquires a multimodal image. The system is trained to determine three embeddings: a first embedding associated with features present in a first modality, an intersection embedding associated with features present in both the first and a second modality, and an XOR embedding associated with features that are not shared between the first modality and the second modality. Once trained, the system may process a multimodal query image to determine query embedding data. Additional information, such as minutiae depicted in the multimodal query image may also be determined. The query embedding data, and in some implementations the additional information, may be compared with enrolled embedding data associated with a previously enrolled user. If the comparison exceeds a threshold value, an identity may be asserted.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2022Date of Patent: October 29, 2024Assignee: AMAZON TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: Manoj Aggarwal, Gerard Guy Medioni, Rajeev Ranjan, Joshua Engelsma, Baomin Wang, Abhinav Kashyap, Dilip Kumar

Patent number: 12086225Abstract: An image of at least a portion of a user during enrollment to a biometric identification system is acquired and processed with a first model to determine a first embedding that is representative of features in that image in a first embedding space. The first embedding may be stored for later comparison to identify the user, while the image is not stored. A second model that uses a second embedding space may be later developed. A transformer is trained to accept as input an embedding from the first model and produce as output an embedding consistent with the second embedding space. The previously stored first embedding may be converted to a second embedding in a second embedding space using the transformer. As a result, new embedding models may be implemented without requiring storage of user images for later reprocessing with the new models or requiring re-enrollment by users.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2021Date of Patent: September 10, 2024Assignee: AMAZON TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: Gerard Guy Medioni, Manoj Aggarwal, Alon Shoshan, Igor Kviatkovsky, Nadav Israel Bhonker, Lior Zamir, Dilip Kumar

Patent number: 12073571Abstract: The motion of objects within a scene may be detected and tracked using digital (e.g., visual and depth) cameras aligned with fields of view that overlap at least in part. Objects may be identified within visual images captured from the scene using a tracking algorithm and correlated to point clouds or other depth models generated based on depth images captured from the scene. Once visual aspects (e.g., colors or other features) of objects are correlated to the point clouds, shapes and/or positions of the objects may be determined and used to further train the tracking algorithms to recognize the objects in subsequently captured frames. Moreover, a Kalman filter or other motion modeling technique may be used to enhance the prediction of a location of an object within subsequently captured frames.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 2022Date of Patent: August 27, 2024Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Boris Cherevatsky, Roman Goldenberg, Gerard Guy Medioni, Ofer Meidan, Ehud Benyamin Rivlin, Dilip Kumar

Patent number: 11922728Abstract: Where an event is determined to have occurred at a location within a vicinity of a plurality of actors, imaging data captured using cameras having the location is processed using one or more machine learning systems or techniques operating on the cameras to determine which of the actors is most likely associated with the event. For each relevant pixel of each image captured by a camera, the camera returns a set of vectors extending to pixels of body parts of actors who are most likely to have been involved with an event occurring at the relevant pixel, along with a measure of confidence in the respective vectors. A server receives the vectors from the cameras, determines which of the images depicted the event in a favorable view, based at least in part on the quality of such images, and selects one of the actors as associated with the event accordingly.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2022Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Jaechul Kim, Nishitkumar Ashokkumar Desai, Jayakrishnan Kumar Eledath, Kartik Muktinutalapati, Shaonan Zhang, Hoi Cheung Pang, Dilip Kumar, Kushagra Srivastava, Gerard Guy Medioni, Daniel Bibireata
