    Abstract: A user interface method is provided for use in a device having a touchscreen. The method includes maintaining the state of content displayed on the device, determining a display image, applying a transformation to at least a portion of the display image based on the maintained state of the displayed content on the device, and displaying the transformed image on the device. The user interface detects transitions, such as, for example, page transitions, and the like, and updates the state based on detected transitions.
