  • Publication number: 20240072746
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a fully differential amplifier is provided. A first amplifying circuit receives a first input voltage signal and provides a first output voltage signal. A second amplifying circuit to receive a second voltage signal and to provide a second output voltage signal. A summing circuit to provide a common mode component of the first input voltage signal and the second input voltage signal. A compensation circuit to amplify the common mode component of the first input voltage signal and the second input voltage signal and output an injection signal. A common gain setting network including a plurality of resistors to receive the injection signal and to interface with the first amplifying circuit, the second amplifying circuit, and the compensation circuit to prevent the common mode component from being present in the first output voltage signal and the second output voltage signal.

  • Patent number: 11502654
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a differential amplifier including first and second current transfer systems, a current difference producing system, and a feedback network circuit is provided. The first current transfer system generates a first differential current signal. The second current transfer system generates a second differential current signal. The current difference producing system receives the first differential current signal and the second differential current signal and generates a voltage difference signal that is indicative of a difference between a first current signal and a second current signal. The feedback network circuit converts the voltage difference signal into at least two converted current signals and provides the at least two converted current signals to one of the first and second current transfer systems or the current difference producing system to minimize the difference between the first current signal and the second current signal.

  • Patent number: 10742184
Abstract: An instrumentation amplifier configured for providing high common mode rejection is described and includes an input differential stage configured to receive a differential input voltage and a folded cascode amplifying stage configured to receive output current mode signals provided from the input differential pair. A plurality of feedback networks is provided to improve the input stage. The amplifier may operate to provide an enhanced common mode rejection ratio of a single gain block in the instrumentation amplifier. In some examples, the circuitry may have a differential folded cascode amplifying stage which permits high precision and low distortion of amplified signals without degrading the common mode rejection ratio.

  • Patent number: 10720895
Abstract: A programmable a fully-differential programmable gain amplifier for reducing distortion, switching transients and interference, and improving bandwidth. In one embodiment, the amplifier includes a programmable gain module, an amplifier coupled to the current mode outputs and a data latch circuit of the programmable gain module, the amplifier configured to apply common mode voltage to the data latch circuit, and a current-to-voltage converter. In one embodiment, the fully-differential programmable gain amplifier controls distortion and switching interference during amplification by sensing common mode signals to produce an error signal, and applying the resulting error signal to the programmable gain module for multiplying digital to analog conversion.
