  • Patent number: 9581232
Abstract: A combustion engine component comprises an assembly of a belt pulley for driving auxiliary engine equipment and a torsional vibration damper. The assembly is adapted to be fixed on an engine crankshaft, wherein the belt pulley is of a so called decoupling type, arranged to be able to change its rotational angle relative to the crankshaft and the torsional vibration damper. The torsional vibration damper is partially positioned in a corresponding annular recess in the belt pulley, creating an annular cavity in the recess between the torsional vibration damper and the belt pulley. An annular seal ring is positioned in the annular cavity and is arranged to close off at least a part of the annular cavity from the air surrounding the assembly.

  • Patent number: 8632431
Abstract: The invention relates to a drive wheel (1) of an auxiliary unit belt drive of an internal combustion engine, having a running casing (2) which is operatively connected to a traction mechanism, having a hub (3) which is rotationally fixedly connected to the drive axle of an auxiliary unit, and having a damping device (4), which is arranged so as to act between the running casing (2) and the hub (3), for reducing rotary oscillations, with the damping device (4) comprising a spring store (5) which is arranged so as to act between the running casing (2) and the hub (3). In order that the running casing can be produced more economically, the invention provides that the running casing (2) is composed of a running part (6), a driver part (7) and a spring receptacle (8), with the running part (6) being rotationally fixedly and permanently connected to the driver part (7), and wherein the driver part (7) can be or is connected in a form-fitting manner to the spring receptacle (8).

  • Publication number: 20090121401
Abstract: Disclosed is an assembly for damping vibrations on a wheel that is used for driving a secondary unit of a vehicle. Said assembly comprises a damping device on the driving wheel that is mounted on a hub which is connected to a drive shaft of the secondary unit. A torsional vibration damper that is combined with a friction clutch is provided as a damping device. The friction clutch is fitted with at least one friction surface facing the hub and at least one second friction surface facing the friction ring in order to non-positively and/or positively couple the driving wheel to the hub via the damper cage of the torsional vibration damper such that torque is transmitted in a vibration damping manner from the driving wheel to the hub via the damper cage. The second friction surface is located between a plate spring and a support disk. The plate spring is connected to the damper cage while the support disk is connected to the hub.
