  • Patent number: 8668196
Abstract: A device and a method for the stacking of sheets in a printing press are disclosed. The device and correspondingly the method have at least two laterally spaced sheet transport roll pairs to transport the sheets in a transport plane. A stacking tray is furthermore provided to accommodate the sheets transported out of the printing press. A sheet contacting unit is arranged in the direction of transport behind the sheet transport roll pairs such that it deflects at least a partial region of the sheet out of the transport plane at least in a first direction, wherein the sheet undergoes a deformation transversely to the direction of transport, and wherein the at least two sheet transport roll pairs and the sheet contacting unit are arranged in a projection onto the transport plane in a triangular arrangement.

  • Patent number: 8177223
Abstract: A lifting unit and a process for lifting a stack of sheets having at least a first support (20, 120, 220) and at least a second support (22, 122, 222) are described. The first support defines a first con-toured or flat support surface, and the second support defines a second support surface which has a substantially horizontal, flat main surface. In the lifting unit at least one unit is provided for lifting the first and second supports. During operation the supports are lifted such that at least a highest point of the first support is kept elevationally above the second support, the second support is lifted more quickly than the first support, and the substantially horizontal, flat main surface of the second support is kept in its horizontal alignment. The lifting unit is described, in combination with a sheet feeder.

  • Publication number: 20120082501
Abstract: In a transport arrangement for printing materials in a printing machine, said transport arrangement comprising one rotatably supported first transport roller with a first shaft and a roller body having a first outside diameter and comprising at least one rotatably supported second transport roller with a second shaft and a roller body having a second outside diameter, said second transport roller when viewed in transport direction of the printing material arranged downstream of the first transport roller, a actuating arrangement is provided for the adjustment of the outside diameter of the first or the second transport rollers or both. The actuating arrangement allows the adjustment of the outside diameter in such a manner that the outside diameters of the first or of the second transport rollers or both are at a fixed ratio relative to each other.

  • Publication number: 20110233848
Abstract: In a sheet conveying device comprising at least one conveying arrangement with a porous conveyor belt that can be moved in a circulating manner, at least one vacuum source and at least one air line whose one end is connected to the vacuum source and whose other end abuts against the porous conveyor belt, a simple and automatic control of the suction pressure for different sheets is achieved by at least one constant pressure controller in the air line in order to essentially maintain constant a pressure differential between the interior space of the air line and its environment.

  • Patent number: 5395068
Abstract: In a receiver cassette for web material (1), for example for an exposed film web material, the web material exits out of an optical flying spot scanning device (2). The web material (1) passes into an entrance slot (13a) a light-sealed casing (13). A rotatably supported hub (5) of a spool is disposed in the interior (13b) of the light-sealed casing (13). In order to increase the receiving capacity of web material lengths and in order to allow a fully automatic winding formation there is provided a motor-driven hub (5) of the spool. The hub (5) of the spool exhibits an about centric clamping slot (14). When a clamping slot entrance opening (16) of the hub (5) of the spool is directed substantially in upward direction in a base position (15) the hub (5) of the spool is furnished with position-defining means (18) in the end regions (17) of the hub (5) of the spool. The position-defining means (18) maintain the hub (5) of a spool in rest position in the base position (15).
