    Abstract: A system in accordance with the invention provides a wireless LAN having terminals that require virtually no setup or installation by the user. Each terminal is in wireless communication with a hub that has access to an off-site network, such as the Internet. Each terminal allows web browsing, e-mail, and chat access, but shelters the user from exposure to the operating system, creating a streamlined, easy-to-use, and inexpensive system.
