Abstract: Indicators especially (although not necessarily exclusively) useful for assessing effectiveness of pool or spa water-treatment materials are described. The indicators may provide effectiveness information visually or otherwise, with certain versions including a numerical or graphical display with or without a warning light. Various versions additionally may connect directly to housings containing the water-treatment materials and be removable therefrom as desired.

Abstract: Various ways of expanding the capability, practicality and/or convenience of residential environmental management systems are contemplated. In one embodiment, a residential environmental management system may include a first master control, a second master control and an interlink operably connected to the first and second master controls. The system may further include a user interface that is operably connected to the interlink.

Abstract: A pool/spa heater having a temperature control portion which is connectable to an external temperature regulating controller, in which the temperature control portion has at least one primary temperature limiting control switch with a first temperature setpoint, at least one secondary temperature limiting control switch with a second temperature setpoint, a third switch adapted for connection with the external temperature regulating controller, and wherein the second temperature setpoint is higher than a maximum temperature setting on the external temperature regulating controller but lower than the first temperature setpoint. The temperature control portion can further have an on/off switch.
