  • Publication number: 20160306581
Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for the automated configuration of storage pools are disclosed. An example method includes determining, as available storage devices, storage devices within a storage system that have availability to be placed into a storage pool and first filtering, based on a first portion of storage requirement information received from a third-party, the available storage devices to eliminate a first set of the available storage devices and determine remaining storage devices. The method also includes second filtering, based on a second portion of the storage requirement information, the remaining storage devices after the first filtering to eliminate a second set of the remaining storage device. The method further includes designating the storage devices remaining after the first and second filtering as identified storage devices and creating the storage pool based on the storage requirement information using at least one of the identified storage devices.

  • Publication number: 20060042767
Abstract: A paper product with absorbency and moisture strike through resistance is disclosed. More particularly, a multi-ply paper product with improved strike through resistance is disclosed, wherein at least one ply is a wetting resistant ply comprising at least one wetting resistant compound and at least one ply is an absorbent ply possessing greater absorbency than the wetting resistant ply. In addition, a two-ply paper napkin with improved moisture strike through resistance is disclosed, wherein the wetting resistant ply comprises alkyl ketene dimer and the two plies are separately microembossed, glue laminated together in a point to point configuration, and macroembossed with coin edging. Furthermore, a multi-ply paper product with improved strike through resistance is disclosed, wherein a first ply comprises at least one wetting resistant compound and a second ply possesses greater absorbency than the first ply.

  • Patent number: 6645195
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus and method for locating and positioning a medical device in a patient. The catheter based drug delivery device uses ultrasound imaging technology to facilitate tracking of the catheter as it is maneuvered through the body of a patient. The device includes a secondary body portion and a main body portion that are in signal communication with each other. Ultrasound signals generated from and received by the device are transmitted to an intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) system. An image of the structures surrounding and including the device is displayed on the IVUS system. A drug delivery needle, housed within the main body portion, can be precisely positioned at the target site using the ultrasound signals. This allows accurate delivery of drug to the target site and, thus, enhanced treatment capabilities.

  • Patent number: 4809744
Abstract: Provided is a distribution system for the uniform distribution of fluids. The system comprises a conduit means which has an inlet for supplying fluid under pressure to the interior of the conduit means. Outlet means are distributed along the length of the conduit for lateral discharge of the fluid from the conduit, and means for increasing the interior surface roughness of the conduit, such as a stainless steel screen, is attached to the inner surface of the conduit opposite the outlet means. The resulting distribution system achieves a uniform distribution of fluid easily and inexpensively.
