  • Publication number: 20170262874
Abstract: A method and system are proposed for providing recommendations to providers of products in a travel destination, of which products to offer. For a set of consumers for whom travel data indicates that they will in the future travel to the travel destination, transaction level data is used to obtain product preference data which statistically characterizes products the set of consumers prefer. The product preference data is transmitted to product providers in the travel destination in the form of product recommendations. Thus, by offering products according to the recommendations, the product providers can offer products in the travel destination suited to the set of consumers. A particular application is in the case that the product is food, since using the recommendations restaurants can provide dishes matching the tastes of the visitors to the travel destination.

  • Publication number: 20170256982
Abstract: A battery management system comprising a main battery and a backup battery. A load is electrically connected to the main battery and the backup battery through one or more switches (e.g., FET switches). A voltage monitoring circuit is electrically connected to the main battery, the backup battery, and the load, wherein the voltage monitoring circuit monitors a voltage from the main battery and triggers a changeover to the backup battery based on a threshold and wherein a main battery interface path within the circuit is facilitated by a bypass diode for automatically switching the circuit to avoid power interruptions.

  • Patent number: 9736754
Abstract: Various embodiments of systems and methods for data distribution to portable electronic devices are described herein. Initially a data server receives a data download request from one or more portable electronic devices. Next the requested data is divided into a plurality of data portions. Next based on an-hoc network, a data-transfer route between the one or more portable electronic devices and a plurality of portable electronic devices connected to the data server are identified. The data server then forwards the plurality of data portions to the plurality of portable electronic devices connected to the data server. Finally, based on the identified data-transfer route, the requested data from the one or more portable electronic devices to the other portable electronic devices is transferred.

  • Publication number: 20170207623
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and system for indicating energy savings for a distributed site. The energy savings is indicated by an energy management system, which receives energy consumption data of the distributed site for a first observation period. Further one or more service windows are defined for the distributed site and an energy saving strategy is applied to at least one service window. Further, the energy consumption data for the second observation period is received and a compared of one or more service windows of the first observation period with the corresponding service windows of the second observation period is done. The energy management system further determines adjustment factors in the energy profiles based on parameters affecting the energy profiles which were not considered during the first observation period and hence indicate the energy savings for the distributed site based on the first saving and adjustment factor.

  • Patent number: 9687480
Abstract: Chiral 1-(4-methylphenylmethyl)-5-oxo-{N-[(3-t-butoxycarbonyl-aminomethyl)]-piperidin-1-yl}-pyrrolidine-2-carboxamides as inhibitors of collagen induced platelet activation and adhesion. The present invention provides chiral (2S)-1-(4-methylphenylmethyl)-5-oxo-(3S)-{N-[(3-t-butoxycarbonyl aminomethyl)]-piperidin-1-yl}-pyrrolidine-2-carboxamide, and (2S)-1-(4-methylphenylmethyl)-5-oxo-(3R)-{N-[(3-t-butoxycarbonyl amino methyl)]-piperidin-1-yl}-pyrrolidine-2-carboxamide of formula 6 and 7 respectively. The present invention also relates to use of these moieties as inhibitors of collagen induced platelet adhesion and aggregation mediated through collagen receptors. The present invention provides a process for preparation of chiral carboxamides of formula 6 and 7 using the process which has advantage to avoid any racemization at the a-carboxylic center, during N-alkylation. The reagent LiHMDS is used at low temperatures to furnish methyl N-(p-methylphenylmethyl)1pyroglutamate in good chiral purity.

  • Publication number: 20170162062
Abstract: In one example, a method to guide and navigate the aircraft during a complete engine failure is disclosed. Nearby airport data is obtained based on aircraft current location upon detecting the complete aircraft engine failure. Minimum and maximum glide distances of the aircraft are computed based on the current aircraft state parameters and environmental parameters. Candidate reachable airports are determined using the obtained nearby airport data for safe landing based on the computed minimum and maximum glide distances. A glide path for each candidate reachable airport is determined. The aircraft is navigated and guided to a selected one of the candidate reachable airports using an associated glide path.

  • Publication number: 20170149656
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a non-transitory machine-readable medium that stories a program executable by at least one processing unit of a device. The program classifies several connected devices based on to a history of data transfers among the several connected devices. The program also receives a route request for transmitting a data message from a first device in the several connected devices to a second device in the several connected devices. The program further determines, based on the classification of the several connected devices, a route through the several connected devices that starts at the first device and ends at the second device.
