Patent number: 7342781Abstract: A mounting apparatus includes a bracket (30), and a retainer (50) slidably attached to the bracket. The bracket is punched inwardly from a side panel (21) of an electronic device for receiving a storage device (1) therein. A frame (10) contains the storage device therein and includes a pair of posts extending from side plates thereof. The bracket includes a pair of opposite sidewalls (33) each defining a pair of sideways therein. The retainer includes a pair of wings (56) slidably attached to the sidewalls of the bracket. A catch (56) with a slopped edge (561) is formed in a rear portion of each of the wings. The posts of the frame slide in the sideways and engage the actuating portions of the catch to move the retainer away from the bracket. The storage device is securely mounted in the bracket, with the posts held by the catches.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2005Date of Patent: March 11, 2008Assignees: Hong Fu Jin Precision Industry (Shenzen) Co., Ltd., Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd.Inventors: Ding-Fang Li, Yang-Ming Lin

Patent number: 7142431Abstract: A computer enclosure includes a computer chassis (10), a locking member (30) and a side panel (40). The computer chassis includes a front panel (12), a rear panel (14), a top panel (16) and a bottom panel (18). Two of the panels perpendicularly respectively extend and form two flanges. The locking member is pivotally attached to one of the flanges of the computer chassis for movement between an open position and a closed position. A resilient member (50) is arranged between the side panel and the computer chassis. The resilient member includes an elastic portion (52). When the locking member is in the open position, the side panel turns around on the other one of the flanges via the elastic portion is pressed on said other one of the flanges.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 2005Date of Patent: November 28, 2006Assignees: Hong Fu Jin Precision Industry (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd.Inventors: Ding-Fang Li, Xiao-Zhong Jing, Yang-Ming Lin
