A remaining part of the payload is fetched to the data buffer under a cut-through mode for payload transmission, wherein the remaining part of the payload is sent from the data buffer to the antenna for radiation.

The IPv4 header is recoverable via the least significant segment of the IPv6 header, so that the IPv4 header may be optionally omitted in transmission of the packet.

Then, the cable modem shuts off a power amplifier in the cable modem in the sleep time interval if the cable modem does not transmit packets during the preset time interval before the recorded time point.
