  • Patent number: 6717571
Abstract: A cursor mechanism with an encoder function having a key member, an encoder input transmission member, a plurality of cursor input pressing members and a universal joint. The key member has an encoder rod extending from a center of a bottom thereof and a plurality of cursor rods extending downward from the bottom of the key member surrounding the encoder rod annularly. The transmission member has one end engaged with an encoder and another end connected to a free end of the encoder rod through the universal joint. The key member may be turned to trigger the encoder through the encoder rod and the transmission shaft for generating a respective encoding input signal. On the other hand, the key member may be eccentrically pressed to trigger the micro switch for generating a respective cursor input signal.

The key member has an encoder rod extending from a bottom end of the center and a plurality of cursor rods extending downward from the bottom end of the key member surrounding the encoder rod annularly. The transmission shaft has one end that engaged with an encoder and another end that connected to a free end of the encoder rod through the universal joint. The cursor input pressing member is located below the cursor rod but above a micro switch for generating cursor input signal. The key member may be turned to trigger the encoder through the encoder rod and the transmission shaft for generating a respective encoding input signal. On the other hand, the key member may be eccentrically pressed to trigger the micro switch for generating a respective cursor input signal.

  • Patent number: 5557374
Abstract: To provide a highly reliable contact type charge unit capable of a creating a uniform charge on a photosensitive layer, a charging member of the charge unit which contacts the photosensitive layer is made from a material having a perpendicular resistivity in a range of between 10.sup.3 to 10.sup.8 .OMEGA.. The perpendicular resistivity is defined by a product of a surface resistivity of the charging member and square of the thickness of the charging member in the current flowing direction.

  • Patent number: 5535088
Abstract: A contacting charging device includes a sheet-shaped charging member and a support member for supporting a charging member at both of its end. A portion of the sheet-shaped charging member contacts the surface of a charge target. The sheet-shaped charging member and the charge target uniformly contact each other, to place a uniform charge on the charge target. The sheet-shaped charging member also has excellent durability.
