Abstract: An antenna includes: a dielectric substrate; a conductive plane formed on a back surface of the dielectric substrate; a radiating element having a linear shape and formed on a front surface of the dielectric substrate; a shorting pin connecting one end of the radiating element to the conductive plane; and a power supply pin that is connected to the radiating element, at a point a predetermined distance away from the one end to which the shorting pin is connected, through a hole provided in the conductive plane, and that supplies a transmission signal to the radiating element. A radio wave is emitted from the radiating element.

Abstract: A detent living hinge can rotate freely, can flip open/close, and has detent mechanism for holding the connected components firmly in designated open/closed positions. The hinge's thin flexible strip adheres to the hinge component connectors and lets them rotate about the hinge axis. The hinge spring pulls the component connectors close together to their intended positions to keep the thin flexible strip from collapsing or getting overly stretched and twisted.

Abstract: A network device, system, and method are directed towards detecting trusted reporters and/or abusive users in an online community using reputation event inputs, such as abuse reports. When an abuse report is received for a content item, the combined trust (reputation) of previous reporters on the reported content item and the trust (reputation) of the content author are compared to determine whether to trust the content item. If the content item is un-trusted, the content item may be hidden from public view. In one embodiment, the content item might still be visible to the content author, and/or members in the author's contact list, or the like, while being hidden from another user in the community. In one embodiment, the author may appeal the determined trust, and results of the appeal may be used to modify a trust of at least one reporter.

Abstract: An m-by-n switch array comprises a frame, switches that anchor around the frame, and threads that connect the switches to their opposing sides of the frame. Applying pressure on a thread pulls the switch, connected to that thread, to its ON state and releasing pressure on the thread lets the switch, connected to that thread, bounces back to its natural OFF state. Applying pressure on an intersection of two threads pulls the two switches, that connected to the two intersected threads, to their ON states while releasing pressure lets those two switches bounce back to their natural OFF states. The position of the intersection, where pressure is applied, can be determined by checking the ON/OFF states of all the switches. Keys can be placed on the thread intersections to emulate devices such as keypads, calculators, remote controls, keyboards, and other key input devices.

A data strobe signal having a second transition edge corresponding to the first transition edge is provided. A first signal is provided. The data is latched into the first signal at a first time point lagged behind the first transition edge by a first time interval until a second time point in response to the first transition edge for relaying the data of the first signal to the memory array when the second transition edge appears earlier than the first transition edge.

A mounting bracket is secured to the front of the bump shell for removably attaching the night vision mounting arm to the bump shell. A ballistic shell has a bottom forming an opening and a coupling mechanism for removably securing the ballistic shell to the bump shell when the ballistic shell is placed over the bump shell. The ballistic shell has a front and a notch extending upwardly from the opening into the front for receiving the mounting bracket when the ballistic shell is placed over the bump shell so as to permit the night vision mounting arm to be attached to the bump shell during use of the ballistic shell.

Abstract: An electrode composition for a lithium-ion battery comprising particles having an average particle size ranging from 1 ?m to 50 ?m. The particles include an electrochemically active phase and an electrochemically inactive phase that share a common phase boundary. The electrochemically active phase includes elemental silicon and the electrochemically inactive phase includes at least two metal elements in the form of an intermetallic compound, a solid solution, or combination thereof. Each of the phases is free of crystallites that are greater than 1000 angstroms prior to cycling. In addition, the electrochemically active phase is amorphous after the electrode has been cycled through one full charge-discharge cycle in a lithium-ion battery.
