  • Patent number: 4513206
Abstract: A prime mover (4), such as an internal combustion engine, and a wind rotor (1) are connected to an AC generator (2) by a differential gear (3) having its planetary-gear carrier meshing with the shaft of the AC generator (2), and having one of its half-shafts connected to the prime mover (4) and the other of its half-shafts connected to the wind rotor (1). Thus the AC generator (2) produces electrical power of a constant frequency.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 1, 1981
Date of Patent: April 23, 1985
    Assignee: Snamprogetti S.p.A.

  • Patent number: 4255989
Abstract: For transferring a rotary drive to a movable member in order that the latter may be reciprocated with a variable amplitude stroke, a mechanism is disclosed which comprises two parallel shafts, each carrying an arm or a disc, a peripheral pin on each disc being pivoted to one end of a connecting rod, the opposite end of which is pivoted to the either end of a rocker. The central pivot of the rocker is borne by a member which is so guided that only a reciprocal motion is permitted thereto.

  • Patent number: 3964970
Abstract: A process for the preparation of only one of the two stereoisomer forms carbamyl amino acids is provided wherein certain heterocyclic compounds having an assymmetrical carbon, such as 5-substituted hydantoins, are hydrolyzed in the presence of certain enzymes, such as dihydropyrimidinase extracted from calf liver. In another embodiment of the invention, the corresponding amino acids are provided by hydrolyzing the carbamyl amino acids in the presence of these same enzymes.

Date of Patent: June 22, 1976
    Assignee: Snam Progetti S.p.A.
Inventors: Dino Dinelli, Franco Morisi, Delio Zaccardelli
  • Patent number: 3947325
Abstract: High permeability cellulose fibers containing enzymes are formed by preparing a solution of nitrocellulose in a solvent that is insoluble in water, preparing an aqueous enzyme solution, mixing together the nitrocellulose and enzyme solutions and emulsifying the mixture, spinning the emulsion into a coagulating bath to produce fibers englobing enzymes and treating the fibers with a reducing agent under conditions which do not damage the enzymes so that nitro groups are removed from the nitrocellulose.
