  • Publication number: 20220395015
Abstract: There is provided a tobacco flavoured dry powder formulation comprising a plurality of particles comprising a base material and a tobacco flavouring composition, wherein a first ratio by weight of (?-ionone+?-damascenone) to (phenol) in the tobacco flavoured dry powder formulation is greater than 0.25. Further, there is provided a method of producing one such tobacco flavoured powder formulation. The method comprises the steps of: preparing a tobacco starting material; heating the tobacco starting material at an extraction temperature of between 100 degrees Celsius and 160 degrees Celsius for at least 90 minutes; collecting the volatile compounds released from the tobacco starting material during the heating step; forming a liquid tobacco flavouring composition comprising the collected volatile compounds; combining a base material and the liquid tobacco flavouring composition to form tobacco flavoured particles.

  • Publication number: 20140298508
Abstract: The present invention is directed to alpha-mannosidase sequences from plants and the use thereof, especially genomic nucleotide sequences containing the regulatory elements controlling their expression, intron and exon sequences and polynucleotide sequences coding for alpha-mannosidase enzymes. Such plants with modified alpha-mannosidase activity can be used for the production of glycoproteins having an altered saccharide composition of great benefit. The present invention also relates to the use of these alpha-mannosidase enzymes for hydrolyzing mannoses.

  • Publication number: 20060253928
Abstract: The invention is directed to methods for optimizing glycan processing in organisms (and in particular, plants) so that a glycoprotein having complex type bi-antennary glycans and thus 5 containing galactose residues on both arms and which are devoid of (or reduce in) xylose and fucose can be obtained. The invention is further directed to said glycoprotein obtained and host system comprising said protein.
