  • Publication number: 20080268879
Abstract: A cordless telephone system includes a base station operable to connect to an internet protocol (IP) network and at least one handset running a short messaging service (SMS) application. The at least one handset is operable to transmit and receive both voice data and SMS data to and from the base station. The voice data is transmitted from the base station via a multimedia terminal adapter (MTA) to the IP network and the SMS data is transmitted from the base station via a modem to the IP network.

  • Publication number: 20080267334
Abstract: A first clock signal is generated by a first circuit and a second clock signal is generated by an auxiliary clock circuit. A switch controls whether the first clock signal or the second clock signal is provided to a subscriber line integrated circuit (SLIC). The SLIC is operable to generate a line voltage within predetermined tolerances on a loop line at a customer premises if the SLIC is receiving the first clock signal or the second clock signal. A resync signal is sent to the SLIC to cause it to resync with the first clock signal without going through a reset operation.

  • Patent number: 7320301
Abstract: A pipe fitting assembly is provided for an intake manifold defining a generally cylindrical bore and having at least one tab portion defining at least one groove. The pipe fitting assembly includes a fitting member having a generally cylindrical portion configured for insertion into the bore such that the fitting member is rotatable between a first and second position. At least one flange is formed on the fitting member and is operable to engage the at least one groove when the fitting member is rotated from the first position to the second position, thereby preventing the removal of the cylindrical portion from the bore. A tube member is also provided having a first end mounted with respect to the fitting member and a second end mounted with respect to the intake manifold. The tube member is operable to retain the fitting member in the second position.

  • Patent number: 7017546
Abstract: A tank assembly for a dry sump lubrication system for an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The tank assembly includes a tank having an upper tank portion and a lower tank portion. An interface assembly is disposed at the lower tank portion and is configured to operably deliver and receive a lubricant to and from the engine. A first end of a return tube in fluid communication with a second end is configured to receive lubricant from the engine at the interface assembly. The second end opposite the first end is in fluid communication with the upper tank portion. In this manner, a return hose and a feed hose may be connected to a same portion of the tank assembly.

  • Patent number: 6955142
Abstract: The present invention provides an oil squirter system for lubricating and cooling engine pistons and cylinders during various engine operating conditions. The oil squirter system includes a generally tubular oil supply manifold having an inlet connected to a pressurized engine oil source and at least one outlet connected to at least one oil supply rail. The oil supply rail includes a longitudinal manifold tube with integral oil squirter nozzles and attachment brackets. An oil flow control valve placed before the oil supply manifold controls oil flow to the oil rails and nozzles. The oil flow control valve responds to engine requirements and performance objectives to maintain adequate oil flow through the oil squirter system to the pistons and cylinders bores as needed to maintain optimal engine operation, preferably during startup and at higher engine speed operation.
