  • Publication number: 20100167231
Abstract: The invention includes a piston having a piston body (1) and front seal for sealing the gap between the side wall of the piston body and the wall of a chamber within which the piston and a material are disposed in a conventional manner. The front seal (5) has a leading edge (6) included angle (A) as defined below, and a trailing edge (7) included angle (B) that is smaller than the leading edge included angle. By the appropriate selection of these two angles, the force required to move the piston (and thus the material) is optimized, the force required to move the piston (and thus the material) is optimized, which results in a more useful dispenser than conventional syringe-type dispensers. These and other features of the present invention are described in greater detail below.

  • Publication number: 20090308447
Abstract: The invention relates to a photovoltaic module, in which at least one crystalline solar cell, by means of which light energy can be converted into electrical energy, is arranged on a carrier substrate, characterized in that a contact area is formed between the carrier substrate and the at least one crystalline solar cell, wherein, in the region of the contact area, an outer surface on a light entry side of the at least one crystalline solar cell is in contact with a rear surface of the carrier substrate, and in that electrical connection contacts are arranged on the rear side of the at least one crystalline solar cell facing away from the light entry side.

  • Publication number: 20080255265
Abstract: The present invention relates to a glass filler material with an average particle size of 0.1-20 ?m. It further relates to a method for producing a glass filler material. The glass filler material comprises 65-99.95 mol % silicon dioxide (SiO2), 0-15 mol % aluminum and/or boron oxide (Al2O3, B2O3), 0-30 mol % zirconium and/or titanium and/or hafnium oxide (ZrO2, TIO2, HfO2), Y2O3 and/or Sc2O3 and/or La2O3 and/or CeO2 and/or other lanthanide oxides, 0.05-4 mol % alkali metal oxides (Na2O, Li2O, K2O, Rb2O, Cs2O), 0-25 mol % earth alkali metal oxides (MgO, CaO, SrO, BaO). The glass filler material shows a low concentration of alkali ions and is used for composites with cationically curing properties and for dental composites and dental restoration materials.

  • Publication number: 20050169962
Abstract: Provided are methods of the production of patterned 3-dimesional biopolymer scaffolds containing living cells. The methods include selective photopolymerization of biopolymers to create patterned structures and the patterning of cells within relatively homogenous slabs of biopolymer using dielectrophoresis. Also provided are patterned 3-dimensional biopolymer scaffolds generated by the methods and their use.

  • Patent number: 5623731
Abstract: A fastening device, with which an object such as a watch (100) can be secured detachably to a carrier, such as the back of a glove (116). To that end, a fastening element of the object and a fastening element of the carrier are provided, of which the first is mounted on the case of the object and the second is mounted on the carrier. A further bandlike carrier, such as a watchband, has a further fastening element of the carrier that can be connected to the aforementioned fastening element of the object, or to an additional fastening element of the object.
