  • Patent number: 9126228
Abstract: A method for accelerated drying of at least one polymer which is located at least partially on a component, in particular at least a layer of paint and/or a sealing agent which is applied to an aircraft component in particular with a different material composition, involving the following steps of: a) at least partially applying the at least one polymer, in particular an epoxy resin and/or polyurethane-based layer of paint and/or a sealing agent, to an upper side of the component, and b) at least partially drying the polymer by means of electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength range of between 0.28 ?m and 4.0 ?m. Accelerated drying of the polymer, in particular the paint layer thereby becomes possible from an upper side of the component to an upper side of the paint layer.

  • Patent number: 8322280
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for applying information onto a surface of an aircraft, wherein the information is applicable in variable locations and is modifiable. The device can include a pad unit having at least one pad, at least one hand grip, a press-on mechanism, a hand lever, at least one support, and a housing. By applying varying printing patterns to the pads, any combination of characters can be stamped on. Moreover, the device configured as a hand-held tool can be operated by a user in variable locations. The printing process is effected by operating the hand lever, causing the pads to be brought into contact with the surface, and the information or, as the case may be, the technical coding to be applied onto said surface.

  • Publication number: 20110265300
Abstract: A device for positional fixation of a first fuselage section to be joined onto a second one in a butt-join region, the first fuselage section being planked with a first skin and the second fuselage section being planked with a second skin. The fuselage sections are temporary connectable by at least one clamping element in the butt-join region for carrying out a joining process. The clamping elements are each formed with a holder and a counter holder, wherein for example the holders are positioned exteriorly on the second skin while the counter holders are positioned interiorly on an interior side of the first skin opposite in the butt-join region. Each holder comprises at least one magnet for temporarily fixing the fuselage sections to one another and preventing intrusion of bore chips in-between the skins and/or, as the case may be, a butt-join strap by use of the magnetic force of attraction toward the counter holder.
