  • Patent number: 5538507
Abstract: A hypodermic needle system that comprises a hub engaging close-fittingly over the end portion of the cylinder of a syringe and coupling means that consists of flexible legs capable of gripping the proximal end of the needle. In another embodiment, the apparatus also comprises a connecting element that is fixedly attached to the needle and is releasably mounted inside the hub, and the coupling means consists of flexible legs capable of gripping the connecting element. As a result of these configurations, the number of components in the hypodermic syringes constructed according to this invention is limited and the products are relatively inexpensive to manufacture.

  • Patent number: 5130688
Abstract: A fuse of the miniature or sub-miniature type with a housing of insulating material and having metal points of connection at, or in the vicinity of, two spaced ends thereof for connecting a fuse wire, and a fuse wire secured to the points of connection and stretched between them within the housing. According to the invention, at least one ridge or wall of insulating material is provided between the two points of connection in the housing so that each of the points of connection is, as it were, situated in a separate chamber. The fuse extends across the ridge and makes an angle at the passage across the ridge.

  • Patent number: 4733014
Abstract: A lead frame for applying micro-electronic elements thereon, which lead frame comprises a series of lead patterns disposed at mutually equal pitch distances, each consisting of a carrier plate lying on the axis of the frame for applying a micro-electronic element thereto, further of leads terminating a short distance from said carrier plate, said leads being connected to lands extending perpendicularly to the frame axis and disposed on either side of the carrier plate, said leads extending beyond said lands in mutually parallel relationship so as to form lead terminals, as far as the next land of the adjoining lead pattern and being connected thereto, while the parallel leads of adjoining patterns are shifted relatively to each other in transverse direction: the mutual distance between two lands associated with one lead pattern is equal to the width of the standardized resin envelope of the micro-electronic element, the lands being provided with cuts in a direction approximately parallel to the axis of the le

  • Patent number: 3983984
Abstract: A selection mechanism is disclosed which greatly simplifies the selection controls for a single element typewriter and thereby adapts it for inexpensive manufacture and reliable operation. A single continuous groove in the cylindrical periphery of a rotating shaft provides a universal surface similar to a cam surface to translate a follower member in a coaxial direction with respect to the rotating shaft and thus provide a linear movement which may be controlled in displacement and thus provide a defined or controlled input which in turn may be converted to a rotary motion for the typehead. The follower block is prevented from traversing any further than that distance which is desired and the follower is relieved by a spring bias member to allow it to ride out of the groove and thus allow the follower block to only traverse as far as permitted for a particular character selection.
