  • Patent number: 10556239
Abstract: An example method for operating a plant, which has at least one assembly with a rotating surface that wears to an increasing extent during the operation of the plant, may involve evaluating a wear state of the rotating surface of the assembly. Based on the wear state of the rotating surface, a manner in which the plant is operated may be modified to prolong the running time of the assembly until, for instance, a next-scheduled service or maintenance interval. The modified manner of operating the plant may be adapted to the wear state of the rotating surface. Several examples of such modifications include changing a quantity of water sprayed onto material to be comminuted, changing a quantity of grinding additive added to material to be comminuted, and/or changing a contact pressure of a grinding roll of the assembly.

    Assignee: THYSSENKRUPP INDUSTRIAL SOLUTIONS AG
Inventors: Reinhard Giesemann, Richard Erpelding, Uwe Bendig, Dirk Dilly, Dirk Schefer

  • Patent number: 8038084
Abstract: The invention relates to a roller mill having a mill housing, a mill path which is supported so as to be rotatable about a mill axis inside the mill housing, and at least one mill roller which can be rotated about a mill roller shaft and which is engaged with the mill path in terms of rolling action. There is further provided a pivot lever which is for rotatably retaining the mill roller and which has a pivot shaft arranged parallel with the mill roller axis and which is supported outside the mill housing. The pivot lever is further in operational contact with a hydropneumatic resilient system in order to adjust the pressing pressure of the mill roller. The pivot lever is supported outside the mill housing with spacing therefrom in such a manner that the forces which are produced by the hydropneumatic resilient system are dissipated into the mill foundation directly or via pillars.

  • Patent number: 7073737
Abstract: The invention relates to a rotary tube mill and to a method of comminuting lumpy mill feed material, in which at least a first and a second grinding chamber as well as a co-rotating partition disposed between the grinding chambers are used. The material ground in the first grinding chamber is divided in the partition into first and second part-quantities of mill feed material, whereby at least a part of the second part-quantity of mill feed material proceeds into the second grinding chamber and at least the first part-quantity of the mill feed material is discharged separately from the tube mill.
