Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a lifting device for a strainer for preparing extraction beverages, particularly a tea strainer, which comprises a timer, a spring for generating a lifting force on the strainer, a latch which can be moved between a first latch position and a second latch position, and a magnet. The latch keeps the spring tensioned in the first latch position and allows relaxation of the spring in the second latch position. The magnet is configured to move the latch by magnetic interaction from the first latch position into the second latch position when the timer is in a zero position.
