  • Publication number: 20220266374
Abstract: A mounting attachment with a connection area for a gas line includes a first cylindrical fastening medium and a second cylindrical fastening medium, which are in particular screwable into each other. The first fastening medium and/or the second fastening medium are prepared in a 3D-plastic printing process. A pipe to be welded is inserted into the first cylindrical fastening medium by means of an essentially central lead trough in the first cylindrical fastening medium, with a cylindrical area of insertion for the pipe to be welded in the second fastening medium. The area of application includes an attachment ring area and a connection area for a gas feed hole for feeding forming gas to a gas-use point by means of a forming gas pipe in the pipe to be welded. The pipe used is sealed against the cylindrical fastening media by one or more flexible seals.

  • Publication number: 20220080536
Abstract: An orbital welding device includes a receiving region into which a round tubular object to be welded can be inserted. The receiving region is designed in two parts with a folding joint for folding together a closing region, and includes a welding means which is rotated about the receiving region and by which the round tubular object is welded in a revolution using an arc welding. An electrically chargeable positive pole is provided on two surrounding outer plate means comprising an aluminum clamp shell housings, and an opposite electrically chargeable negative pole, is arranged on the receiving region with the rotating welding means. A respective insulating body is arranged between the positive pole and the negative pole. The insulating body includes a 3D-printed region, produced by a plastic powder laser sintering method, with one or more conducting means for welding gas and/or one or more conducting means for cooling water.

  • Patent number: 7040002
Abstract: A method of terminating at least one conductor of a superconducting cable comprising a plurality of superconducting tapes, comprising the steps of associating an electrically conductive connector radially at the at least one conductor, embedding and end of the superconducting tapes in a thermosetting resin, embedding an end portion of the superconducting tapes in a solder and achieving an electric contact by the solder. Moreover, the invention relates to a terminated conductor of a superconducting cable, a superconducting cable, a joint between conductors of two superconducting cables, a current transmission/distribution network, and a terminator for at least one conductor of a superconducting cable that embody the above method.
