  • Publication number: 20090213751
Abstract: In a method of selecting a communication network and connecting a mobile station into a communication network in a coverage area of which it is located, a mobile station is temporarily connected to a network unit of a first communication network, and sends a request relating to at least one second communication network to be used for communication via the network unit from the mobile station to a further network unit. After verifying the request by the farther network unit at least one response message containing at least one item of information is sent to the mobile station. The mobile station connects to a communication network depending on the at least one item of information received.

  • Patent number: 7499414
Abstract: A method is provided for the administration of a muticast service whereby mobile terminals of users who have subscribed to the multicast service receive multicast messages via a mobile communication network. The present invention seeks to use the available radio resources in a more economical manner. To this end, the mobile terminals are respectively prodied with an input unit which, when actuated, produces activation information which indicates whether the multicast service is activated or deactivated, and the activation information is transmitted to the mobile communication network.

  • Publication number: 20050129190
Abstract: A method is provided for identifying a first subscriber of a telecommunication network, a receiving terminal for identifying a first subscriber of a telecommunication network, and a transmitting terminal. According to the inventive method, the identification of the first subscriber is carried out in such a manner that information of at least one type of information for identifying the first subscriber is output to at least one receiving terminal, whereby the output of information of the information type text is excluded on the at least one receiving terminal. This method enables identification capabilities to be integrated in a more diverse manner; in particular, multimedia representations are integrated during the identification of the first subscriber of the telecommunications network.
