  • Publication number: 20250251194
Abstract: A plant for heat treatment of mineral material comprises a reactor having at least one gas inlet for admitting offgases, wherein the reactor comprises an activating region for activating the mineral material and an offgas outlet for ejecting offgases from the reactor, wherein the offgas outlet is connected to the at least one gas inlet in such a way that at least a portion of the offgas is supplied to the reactor. A process for heat treatment of mineral material with a reactor, comprises activating the material in an activating region of the reactor and optionally cooling the material in a cooling region of the reactor, wherein the offgas of the reactor is discharged therefrom, wherein at least a portion of the offgas discharged from the reactor is returned to the reactor.

  • Publication number: 20240361074
Abstract: A method for burning material, such as carbonate rocks, in a parallel-flow regenerative shaft kiln having two shafts which are operated alternately as a burning shaft and as a regenerative shaft and are connected to one another by means of a connecting channel, wherein the material flows through a material inlet into a preheating zone for preheating the material, a burning zone for burning the material and a cooling zone for cooling the material to a material outlet, wherein a cooling gas is admitted into the cooling zone, wherein exhaust gas is discharged from one of the shafts via an exhaust gas outlet, wherein the exhaust gas discharged from the shaft via the exhaust gas outlet is at least partially introduced into at least one of the shafts.

  • Patent number: 10556239
Abstract: An example method for operating a plant, which has at least one assembly with a rotating surface that wears to an increasing extent during the operation of the plant, may involve evaluating a wear state of the rotating surface of the assembly. Based on the wear state of the rotating surface, a manner in which the plant is operated may be modified to prolong the running time of the assembly until, for instance, a next-scheduled service or maintenance interval. The modified manner of operating the plant may be adapted to the wear state of the rotating surface. Several examples of such modifications include changing a quantity of water sprayed onto material to be comminuted, changing a quantity of grinding additive added to material to be comminuted, and/or changing a contact pressure of a grinding roll of the assembly.

  • Patent number: 9878946
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for producing a hydraulic binder by processing of a silicate-containing component with at least one of calcium silicate hydrate- or belite-containing components. The method includes comminuting the silicate-containing component to a particle sizes of <100 ?m, with at least partial breaking of Si—O—Si bonds and/or hydrogen bonds in the structure of the surface layer of the silicate-containing component, for surface activation. The method further includes contacting the comminuted silicate-containing component with calcium silicate hydrate- and/or belite-containing components to cause the calcium silicate hydrate- and/or belite-containing components to accumulate on at least 50% of the surface area of the silicate-containing carrier substance.
