  • Patent number: 11684016
Abstract: A chopper for an agricultural harvester comprises a housing, a rotor, a bank of counter-knives, and an adjuster. The housing comprises a variable geometry outlet floor. The is positioned in an interior region of the housing for rotation therein relative to the housing. The bank of counter-knives is movable relative to the rotor between a first aggressiveness position and a second aggressiveness position to adjust chopping aggressiveness of the chopper. The outlet floor comprises a ramp movable relative to the rotor between a first ramp position and a second ramp position. The adjuster positions the ramp in the first ramp position when the bank of counter-knives is positioned in the first aggressiveness position and positions the ramp in the second ramp position when the bank of counter-knives is positioned in the second aggressiveness position.

  • Publication number: 20230172104
Abstract: A spreader for harvested crop residue is configured to be attached downstream of a straw chopper of a combine harvester and comprises two adjacently arranged throw blowers with paddles which are able to be set in rotation about one respective axis and in opposing directions to one another, as well as a guide arrangement for predetermining the spreading characteristic of the throw blowers, said guide arrangement having a front tip penetrating the interstice between the throw blowers and two lateral guide elements which follow downstream and which in each case are adjacent to a throw blower and are adapted to the contour thereof. Extension means are connectable or connected to the guide arrangement, for selectively extending the guide device in the axial direction of the throw blowers.

  • Publication number: 20090176063
Abstract: Disclosed are liquid impregnated sheets containing a combination of split-fibres and/or meltblown fibres with regular fibres of thermoplastic polymers. The sheets can be monolayers or multilayers with non-wovens of split-fibres on the outer portions of the multilayered sheets. The sheets possess good storage and release characteristics for a liquid and can be used as cleansing sheets for personal care or for polishing purposes.

  • Patent number: 7537834
Abstract: A particle composite including carrier particles having an average diameter of less than 5 ?m. The particle composite is surrounded by a layer made of oxidic material having an irregular surface. Particles, which are made of an active material and which have an average diameter of less than 1 ?m are applied to the layer. The particle composite can be used as a filling substance in polymers and enables the content of active material for comparable properties to be reduced or improves the properties of filled materials, e.g. resistance to aging of elastomers.

  • Publication number: 20080014438
Abstract: A composition including a) rubber, b) crosslinking agent, c) metals and/or chalcogenides of metals as crosslinking aids and/or antiaging agents is described, wherein at least one of components b) or c) is in the form of composite particles composed of carrier particles to whose surface particles of the active material having an average diameter of less than 25 ?m are applied and layers thereof having an average layer thickness of less than 25 ?m and/or conglomerates of multiple carrier particles to whose surface particles of active material having an average diameter of less than 25 ?m are applied or layers thereof having an average layer thickness of less than 25 ?m and d) optionally other conventional additives. The composite particles make it possible to lower the active material content while achieving comparable properties or improving the aging resistance of elastomers and/or increasing productivity.

  • Publication number: 20070259196
Abstract: A sheet consisting of a carrier medium, where at least one antimicrobial substance is incorporated into the carrier medium, is, in view of the task of specifying a sheet that exhibits high reactivity of the antimicrobial substance, characterized by the fact that the substance is in colloidal and/or nanoscale form. Moreover, the sheet is characterized by the fact that the substance is contained in a layer that is at least area wise interrupted or consists of unconnected partial layers. Moreover, a use of the sheet as a cleaning article or in a cleaning article is described.
