  • Publication number: 20250257488
Abstract: An electrolysis system includes at least one electrolyzer for generating hydrogen and oxygen as products, and at least two downstream compressors for compressing at least one of the products produced in the electrolyzer. A method of operating the electrolysis system in a part-load operation of the electrolyzer that is optimized in terms of efficiency and is also cost-effective. During the part load operation of the electrolyzer, a first group of compressors is operated in part-load operation, while the compressor(s) of a second group can be switched on or off individually for full-load operation.

  • Publication number: 20250179651
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for operating an electrolysis plant for producing hydrogen and oxygen as product gases, wherein the oxygen product gas, which additionally contains hydrogen as a foreign gas, is fed from an electrolyser to a downstream gas separator, wherein when a predefined limit value for the hydrogen concentration in the oxygen product gas is exceeded, an inert gas (L) is fed to the gas separator such that the hydrogen concentration in the oxygen product gas is lowered. The invention further relates to a corresponding electrolysis plant.

  • Publication number: 20250179666
Abstract: Embodiments include a method for operating an electrolysis system. Aspects include supplying service water to a water treatment system and purifying and deionizing the service water in the water treatment system to create deionized water and ion-containing wastewater. Aspects also include supplying the deionized water from the water treatment system to an electrolyzer and supplying the ion-containing wastewater from the water treatment system to a cooling device. A waste heat generated by the electrolyzer is dissipated by the cooling device.

  • Publication number: 20240337036
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating an electrolysis plant for producing hydrogen and oxygen as product gases, wherein the hydrogen product gas, which additionally contains oxygen as a foreign gas, is fed from an electrolyser to a downstream gas separator, wherein when a predefined limit value for the oxygen concentration in the hydrogen product gas is exceeded, hydrogen having a low oxygen concentration is fed to the gas separator such that the oxygen concentration in the hydrogen product gas is lowered. The invention further relates to a corresponding electrolysis plant.

  • Patent number: 10371058
Abstract: An operating method for a gas turbine by partial-load operation, includes setting of a power setpoint value for a predefined temperature value; determining the two operating curves as a function of temperature according to the power of the gas turbine, wherein the power setpoint value is located between said operating curves; determining the difference in power of said two operating curves at the substantially constant predetermined temperature value; determining a power deviation from the predetermined power setpoint value of one of the two operating curves at the substantially constant predetermined temperature value; calculating an interpolated operating curve deviation on the basis of the difference in power and the power deviation, wherein the temperature is a turbine outlet temperature or a computationally determined turbine inlet temperature.

  • Patent number: 10077673
Abstract: A method for monitoring operation of a power generating installation that has at least one generator that is driven by a rotating machine, in which values of an operating parameter of the generator and/or rotating machine are captured and stored, it is ascertained whether the value of the operating parameter at prescribed checking times lies outside an admissible range, wherein a possible fault is inferred if the value of the operating parameter lies outside the admissible range at two directly successive checking times, an additional check is performed to determine whether the value of the operating parameter is approaching the admissible range in a prescribed checking interval that lies between two directly successive checking times and particularly extends as far as the later of the two checking times, and it is inferred that there is a fault if the value of the operating parameter is not approaching the admissible range.
