  • Patent number: 8312118
Abstract: A method for remote maintenance of a technical device by a maintenance technician by a maintenance computer as well as a computer-readable storage medium on which is stored information for execution of the method on a data processing device. In the method, a remote data connection is established between the maintenance computer and the technical device, electronic access information dependent on a scope of intended access to data stored in the technical device is transmitted from the maintenance computer to the technical device an electronic identifier identifying the maintenance technician is transmitted from the maintenance computer to the technical device, an approval by an operating personnel of an access is determined by the technical device dependent on access information and the identifier, and by the technical device, electronic authentication information is generated by the technical device dependent on the determination of the approval.

  • Patent number: 7610490
Abstract: In a method and arrangement for control of the access to sensitive data stored in a first apparatus a first user of a first apparatus is notified of an access by the second apparatus to sensitive data stored in the first apparatus, and the notification is transmitted to the second apparatus. A first unique identification of the first user is requested by the first apparatus. A second unique identification of a second user of the second apparatus by the second apparatus. A check of the constellation (acquired via the requests) of the first and second users is made using a predetermined association file, the association file associating one or more allowed second users with each first user. Enablement of access of the second apparatus to the sensitive data stored in the first apparatus is prevented when the check of the association establishes an allowed constellation of first and second users.

  • Patent number: 7555782
Abstract: In an arrangement allowing remote maintenance of a computer-controlled system to be serviced, in particular a medical system, the maintenance occurs via a spatially independent monitoring system in communication with the system to be serviced. The system to be serviced is, among other things, designed for the processing of access-protected data such as, for example, patient data. Access to the access-protected data by the monitoring ensues exclusively via an authorization unit associated with the system to be serviced.

  • Publication number: 20030182406
Abstract: In a method for the installation of a license code, an e-mail is communicated to a first computer. As an attachment, the e-mail includes an executable computer program that includes license code and an installation routine allocated to the license code. The executable computer program is a self-extracting archive that extracts the license code and the installation routine given an execution of the executable computer program. The license code is provided for enabling at least one program routine installed on a second computer. The installation routine is provided for configuring the second computer with the license code such that the license code enables the installed program routine.
