The turbine (100) further includes a rotor plane having disposed thereon masses (114) that are configured to be moved in a radial direction by a driving mechanism. The turbine (100) further includes an energy storage means connected to the driving mechanism. During operation, the blades are configured to be rotatable by a moving wind, and the driving mechanism is configured to move the masses (114) radially inwards or outwards in the rotor plane.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a system for controlling torque in a wind turbine. In one embodiment, the system includes a rotor, a rotor driveline coupled with the rotor and an electrical generator, the rotor driveline including a coupler, a torque control mechanism, a transmission system, the torque control mechanism comprising a variable torque converter, a switching mechanism and at least one energy storage system. During operation, the variable torque converter actuate the positive force and/or torque acting on rotor driveline in order to achieve the desired rpm when the set point of desired rpm is higher than the present value of the said rpm, and also to actuate the negative force and/or torque acting on the rotor driveline in order to achieve the desired rpm when the set point of desired rpm is lower than the present value of the said rpm.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a turbine control system and method. The turbine control system includes at least one control means accommodated on a turbine rotor wherein the control means is actuated by a controller in a first or second direction on a plane of the rotor turbine to control a rate of change of moment of inertia of the turbine and thereby controlling the operation of the turbine. The invention also provides a turbine farm including a plurality of turbines operating to provide a maximum and stable power output. The farm includes a master controller configured for controlling the operation of each of the plurality of turbines and individual controller of the turbines efficiently.
