  • Publication number: 20240406671
Abstract: A mobile device may install and monitor geofences. The application or the operating system (OS) may store a set of geofences. The application or OS may determine the mobile device's current location and generate a first bounding area around the current location. The application or OS may determine the size or radius of the first bounding area such that no more than a specified number of geofences fall inside the first bounding area. The application or OS may monitor the mobile device's location in the first bounding area and determine whether the mobile device exits the first bounding area. In response to determining that the mobile device exits the first bounding area, the application or OS may determine the mobile device's location and generate a second bonding area such that no more than the specified number of the geofences fall inside the second bounding area.

  • Publication number: 20240350762
Abstract: Intubation devices and methods of intubating a patient are provided. The intubation devices include a laryngeal mask airway (LMA) component having a mask portion and a tube portion and an endotracheal tube (ETT) component positioned in the laryngeal mask airway (LMA) component having a translatable and/or rotatable endotracheal tube. The endotracheal tube can be translated and/or rotated by a manipulation rod extending through the laryngeal mask airway (LMA) component and mounted to the endotracheal tube (ETT). The intubation devices may include inflatable cuffs adapted to manipulate the positioning or orientation of the endotracheal tube and/or to seal openings about the endotracheal tubes. Various ports, passages, and conduits are provided to enhance the use and manipulation of the intubation device.

  • Publication number: 20210187228
Abstract: Endotracheal devices and methods of using endotracheal devices are provided. The devices include a first elongated conduit having an internal dimension, a second elongated conduit having an external dimension less than the internal dimension of the first conduit, and a manipulation rod operatively mounted to the second conduit, where the manipulation rod allows an operator to move the second conduit within the first conduit. The manipulation rod may be used translate and/or rotate the second conduit within the first conduit. The first and second elongated conduits may be provided with inflatable cuffs to minimize the passage of fluids. Though aspects of the invention may be uniquely adapted for insertion through the trachea and into a bronchus, aspects of the invention may be used for other bodily passages.
