  • Patent number: 11748714
Abstract: Technology is described reserving meeting locations. A request to reserve a meeting location during a defined time period may be received via a device. The request may include location attribute criteria for the meeting location. Candidate meeting locations that satisfy the location attribute criteria specified in the request may be identified. The candidate meeting locations may be available to hold a meeting during the defined time period. A target meeting location may be selected from the candidate meeting locations based in part on rankings associated with the candidate meeting locations.

  • Patent number: 11627006
Abstract: Technologies are disclosed for to utilizing a virtual assistant to as a meeting agenda facilitator. The virtual assistant may start the meeting, control the flow of the meeting, introduce agenda items, receive comments, display meeting materials associated with the meeting, generate/keep track of follow-up actions, create a meeting record, and the like. In some examples, virtual assistant accesses a meeting agenda to determine what agenda items are to be discussed, what content is to be presented, as well as summaries of the meeting and the agenda items. The meeting agenda may also include an expected duration of each of the agenda items that may be used to keep the meeting on time. The virtual assistant may also generate follow-up actions to be performed. Still yet, the virtual assistant may create a meeting record that can include information recorded from the meeting and is associated with the agenda items discussed.

  • Patent number: 11488115
Abstract: Technology is described for a request to reserve a meeting location during a defined time period. The request may include attribute criteria for the meeting location. Candidate meeting locations may be identified that satisfy the attribute criteria specified in the request. The candidate meeting locations may be available to hold a meeting during the defined time period. A fragmentation score that would result from holding the meeting in individual candidate meeting locations during the defined time period may be determined. A target meeting location may be selected from the candidate meeting locations based in part on the fragmentation score for the individual candidate meeting locations. A fragmentation score of the target meeting location may represent less fragmentation than fragmentation scores for other candidate meeting locations.

  • Patent number: 11095468
Abstract: Technologies are disclosed for to utilizing a meeting summary service to generate meeting notes. The meeting notes generated by the meeting summary service can include a variety of information such as participant information, meeting information (e.g., time, place, location, . . . ) meeting agenda information, identified action items, a transcript of the meeting, a recording of the meeting, meeting content presented and/or distributed during the meeting, and the like. The meeting summary service generates meeting notes utilizing a transcript created from a recording of the meeting. In some configurations, machine learning mechanisms may be utilized to identify action items and generating summary information for the meeting. Action items may be assigned to users and tracked to determine state of the action items (e.g., completed). The meeting summary service may also provide a user interface that allows a user, such as a meeting participant, to review the meeting notes.

  • Patent number: 9858105
Abstract: A virtual machine image service is disclosed in a compute service environment to support management of virtual machine images. The virtual machine image service uses the customer input to generate a new virtual machine image with customization applied. In a simple example, the customer can provide information regarding which virtual machine image requires software updates. In turn, the service can retrieve the virtual machine image, install the updates, reduce the volume of the virtual machine image, run tests to confirm the virtual machine image runs properly, scan the virtual machine image for viruses, and update any desired configuration tools and device drivers. Using customer control features (e.g., a definition file, a script, and/or API parameters), the customer can control what operations are performed on the virtual machine image.

  • Patent number: 9455887
Abstract: A distributed performance evaluation framework provides functionality for evaluating the availability, reliability, and scalability of a network-based service. The framework includes a control and reporting tier and a load-generating tier. The control and reporting tier provides a control interface through which a request to evaluate the performance of a service may be received. In response to receiving such a request, the control and reporting tier creates a load-generating job for use by the load-generating tier. Load-generating instances in the load-generating tier are configured to perform the load-generating job by executing instances of a load-generating plug-in configured to generate requests to the service. The load-generating instances also periodically provide data regarding the status of each load-generating job to the control and reporting tier.
