  • Patent number: 5167038
Abstract: A lined glove construction having an outer shell and waterproof liner. The liner has all of its dimensions except one, proportioned to the corresponding dimensions of the hand of the wearer. Only the finger lengths of the liner are longer than the proportioned length of the fingers of the wearer. The liner is located in the glove next to the outer shell. Where the glove includes an inner insulation liner, the added length of the finger parts of the liner is correlated to the thickness of the insulation liner.

  • Patent number: 4654896
Abstract: A finger portion for a glove where the portion comprises two superimposed four-pointed star-shaped pattern pieces where each star forms a finger part. Each pattern piece has a cut out. The pattern pieces are joined together around their peripheries by sewing or sealing in the flat where the line of juncture of the pieces is along lines of non-extension of the fingers formed by the finger portion. The finger portions of one pattern piece are longer than that of the other pattern piece and the pattern piece having the longer finger part is folded to form a tuck when joined to its corresponding finger part of the other pattern piece.

  • Patent number: 4000524
Abstract: A glove construction patterned to be conformal to the articulated movements of the human hand where a plurality of individual parts are designed and constructed to accommodate controlled extension and compression of the outer cover with respect to finger, thumb and metacarpal joints. The finger portions are provided with telescoping sections terminating at the lateral sides of the fingers on a neutral line of the finger joint called "the line of non-extension." The thumb back is comprised of three sections which form a natural thumb contour in the normal working attitude. The finger sections join the hand portion of the glove to provide a natural break line for the palm and metacarpal joints. An outer leather lining for a glove is provided with the inwardly facing surface of the lining having a water impermeable film bonded thereto.
