  • Patent number: 9532221
Abstract: A method performed by a server to facilitate content sharing between multiple mobile electronic devices includes receiving, from a first mobile electronic device, a first content-sharing request and credentials for establishing a direct wireless connection between the first mobile electronic device and another mobile electronic device for sharing content of the first mobile electronic device. A first content-discovery request is received from a second mobile electronic device, and a location of the second mobile electronic device is also received. The credentials are communicated to the second mobile electronic device when the location indicates that the second mobile electronic device is within an established content-sharing geographical area.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 9152131
Abstract: A wearable device in one embodiment includes a motion detection sensor, an alarm clock and a sleep monitor operatively coupled to the motion detection sensor and the alarm clock. The sleep monitor monitors a person during sleep by collecting motion detection sensor data at a first data collection rate and determines a sleep state of the person based on the collected motion detection sensor data at the first data collection rate. If the sleep monitor detects that the alarm clock has entered a snooze mode, then the first data collection rate is increased to a second data collection rate and motion detection sensor data is collected at the second data collection rate while the alarm clock system in the snooze mode.

  • Patent number: 7499950
Abstract: A client device (701) of a communication system (700) includes, for example, a processor (304) programmed to include a device management tree interface (702) that provides access for a plurality of non device management agents (210, 618) and at least one device management agent (208) to a device management engine (222) that accesses a corresponding device management tree (226). The processor updates data, for the plurality of non device management agents and at least one device management agent, via the device management engine (222) and corresponding device management tree (226), through the device management tree interface (702).

  • Publication number: 20040193601
Abstract: A method and contact list server is provided for modifying an entry name in a contact list of a subscriber unit located at and managed by a remote server. The method includes receiving a request from a subscriber unit to modify an entry name in a contact list, which is used to identify and select a contact list entry. The request includes an old entry name and a new entry name. The method further includes verifying the uniqueness of the requested new entry name, relative to the contact list, disassociating the contact information from the old entry name, and associating the contact information with the new entry name. Where in at least one embodiment, disassociating the contact information from the old entry name and associating the contact information with the new entry name includes modifying a data field, which has the contact name used to identify and select the contact list entry corresponding to the contact information.
